You have 21 hours played and a .9kd Sorry but you don't know the effect of SBMM. We're waiting 10-15 minutes to get a game of people across the globe in every lobby and they all know how to play. Our games are determined by who has the better connection for longer.

Why should all the good players that have spent hours on this game be punished (harder games) while all the bad players are rewarded (with easier games) when the extrinsic rewards are the same? SBMM is like communism, and we all know how well that works.

wow, its like bizarro world with your sense of logic. good players are apparently bad sports according to you. in a competitive environment the better player is REWARDED with better opponents...the lesser players are not rewarded, they are not having easy games, there games are just as hard for them as the good players games are for them as well. its relative.

It's not as black and white as your distinguished sense of logic makes it out to be. Firstly, take note of the excerpt "extrinsic rewards" in my previous reply. Intrinsically, the better players are being rewarded by facing better opponents. This is true in a scenario where extrinsic rewards are present, and where the skill gap between opponents is larger. Where the skill gap is always minimal, and extrinsic rewards are absent, the better players grow frustrated (as is the case in destiny). To give an example, let's take a scenario of a good sports team that is at the peak of their game. In a scenario like the present one in Destiny, they would face other teams of very similar skill consistently and their pay rate and fame (extrinsic rewards in this scenario) would be that of all teams (worst teams included). Let's take another scenario that's more in line with my comparison to communism. Imagine person A went to med school, studied consistently and graduated with honors. After graduating and becoming a top tier M.D., s/he was placed in a work place where everyone is equally as skilled. Additionally, s/he is paid and recognized on the same level as someone with a high school level of education or similar. These scenarios don't happen in the real world and for good reason. I can go on and on, but I think I explained my previous post well.

this isnt real life and i fail to see how bieng paired against people of your skill as a bad thing. at the literal most you got is the connection issue due to not "settling" for people with a decent ping.
-
It does not have to be real life; human psychology is consistently similar in all scenarios. I explained "what is bad about it" with an essay. If you still don't understand, than I can no longer help. Cheers.

all you did is state what happens with sbmm then arbitrarily state how people would feel bad about it. 2 plus fish does not equal chair there is no link between what sbmm tries to do and why it effects people as you suggest. i for one am happy to get into constantly sweaty matches compared to my skill level. lets me get better.

Your comparison falls flat. The link between lack of compensation/recognition and satisfaction is well established.

U missed the whole point
