I've been saying this ever since sun singers started burning bright in crucible. The class is incredibly difficult to balance because it's neutral game is not only it's super game as well but it's a subclass based around burn. Nothing else in the tool kit suggests otherwise. Bungie clearly thinks DoT is a big problem in pvp. and they haven't found a way to properly fix it. they basically removed thorn. and now they smacked sunsingers out of existence in pvp. I and many others have told them that if burn is such a problem they just need to redesign the subclass. Or leave it as is and introduce mechanics to combat it in pvp. And bungie basically admitted that they don't want to do that because it would be a lot of work. So there you have it. Bungie openly admitted to being lazy. and rather then finding a productive approach they decided to just ruin it entirely. Because screw balance.
