So I main a Gunslinger and have done for a while, focused on my own playstyle. Now on the grenade aspect of things, tripmine grenade sticky nerf actually isn't as bad I first feared.
However I do believe it does need a slight damage buff, having one placed down to set a trap simply isn't even a threat. There has been a fair few instances where people will just run right through them knowing full well it's not going to kill.
Now going back to Tripmines losing its sticky, to make Grenade choice on Gunslinger viable how about giving 'Incendiary Grenade' the ability to stick instead but nerf its overall damage slightly when it sticks?
-
Bump mine you I do love it when I still get a kill with trip mine.
-
The nerf was horrible. We lost sticky, AND some damage. It's totally worthless as a trap with that stupid blinking light. They could have started with one adjustment at a time and seen how it played out instead of nuking the whole thing trying to push people to use the other garbage grenades they gave us.

The fact that any abilities are being changed after almost 2 years of no issues is idiotic. Not being able to stick my tripmine to a phalanx's shield is infuriating. Bungie buffed supers and made them awesome, but then they ruined tripmine, throwing knife, viking funeral, and bugged solar grenades. Minotaurs are regening their health again too. They constantly "fix" shit that isn't broken, and -blam!- up more stuff in the process. If the tripmine "wasn't working as intended," why didn't you change it during/after the beta? I'll tell you why. Because it was working as intended, and you idiots just made up a reason to piss off and -blam!- with your player base again. The easy mode, tracking fusion grenades are just fine though, right? I've never seen a developer make so many stupid decisions, and treat the majority of their player base like shit, like Bungie has.

13 RespuestasSticky tripmines was my way to counter shoulder charge. Now its gone. #ShoulderChargeOP

11 RespuestasI usually play a titan, but I think it does need buffed. I run right through tripmines without dying. I play for fun and fairness. Nerfing the tripmines was not fair. I'm sorry hunters. That's a big reason I refuse to use shoulder charge... Unfair.
-
1 RespuestaHere's my opinion. How about they make a hubter grenade that can kill, tripmines are worthless af, people stand in them and don't die. Lighting grenades are op, the range is ridiculous and it doesn't even have to land on a wall, it can hit you in mid air and you'll die. Didn't know they were nerfing hunters so much. All classes still suck. Swarm grenade is so easy to avoid and it doesn't even kill.

2 RespuestasYou shouldn't be able to just throw a grenade, run halfway across the map, forget about it, and thirty seconds later get a kill with it. I don't think that's what they were going for. I do, however, think Bungie wanted you to be able to throw it, wait relatively close by, and be able to finish off anyone that just ran through it with ease. My opinion, at least.

IDC how bad or not bad the nerf is. I quit because of the 6/14 balancing patch on principal. I'm tired of the downward spiral of nerfs. I'm tired of this whittle-down balancing approach, all it is doing is weakening our guardians globally and after suffering through 2 years of it (it's gotten MUCH worse in TTK than it was in Y1 though) I've just gotten fed up and have had enough. Guns should be consistent, they shouldn't change how they function 6 months in because its "their turn" to be the meta. Abilities should be consistent. If it was unchanged for 2 years, it shouldn't be changed now. I'm looking directly at you, Tripmine Grenade (and shoulder charge). Until this stops, I think I've had enough of Destiny for a LONG while.

Considering this game was originally based on pve with pvp thrown in, my own opinion is just reset everything back to year one. Just keep the hit detection fixes on blade dancer, shoulder charge and melee's. I'm all for Hunters having your sticky tripmines, of course I main a Titan Stiker and I want sticky lightning grenades. I can dream, Right?! So much fun at the heavy spawn! Personally I think they just need to separate pve and pvp. I think our classes, along with our subclasses were meant to compliment each other in pve events. I understand the need for balance in pvp and thats why they need to be separated. The nerfs just affect pve too much. ( Soloing nightfalls year one and having the boss down to sliver of health only to get killed by some lowly dreg and back to orbit I went!) They also need to keep exotic weapons out of pvp. Exotic weapons are basically blah now compared to their glory days and maybe one of the reasons that started all the nerfdom threads! Anyways, sorry to rant in your thread, I hardly ever post but have read the forums since I started this game ( day 2"er) and use to enjoy them. Hope that day comes again! Hope you hunters get back to full strength soon. Hope I get my year one Hawkmoon back! Oh yeah, (not directed at OP) I suck at pvp! "I'll get good scrub someday!" ( I doubt it ). And if it makes you feel better you can teabag me all you want! If I'm missing anything I'm sure someone will let me hear about it!

I think the should replace "circle of life" with a perk called "Sharpened Blade" that increases precision damage (makes the knife a one shot crit for crucible). Since its in the same tree as knife juggler it won't reset its cool down on precision kills. If You're worried about having people with two throwing knives, they can do what they did to the warlocks with two firebolt grenades and nerf the damage done by them to the head and prevent having the potential for "two throws' two kills."

1 Respuestaincen grenade should have its regular burn damage

1 RespuestaThe Hunter is my favorite class in this game but let it go,let's see how the hunters will play now Let the others classes have its time The hunters will always adept and reach the top It's more satisfying for me to own the"stronger" classes Let it be

Editado por GTLargo21: 6/30/2016 12:03:33 AMNegative, Ghostrider. I like the skill it takes to throw an accurate Incendiary at someone and how bouncy it is. If it became a sticky, it should kill when attached like the rest that do. (not counting high armor supers) This would also give the titan 2 sticky grenades for Sunbreaker, causing an inevitable riot in the forums for everyone demanding a second sticky for at least 1 subclass per class type or to give a second subclass a sticky grenade... actually, the Titan has 1 sticky grenade for 2 different subclass. The Hunter used to have 1 sticky grenade for 2 and now only has 1. The warlock only has 1.

I still use gg, it's still good to me. Fix TM tho

2 RespuestasDid anyone else see the picture Deej tweeted of his Iron Banner fireteam? It was 5 Warlocks and a Titan. I thought there shouldn't be a default choice for anyone who wants to do well in the Crucible?

Plus the nerf to the throwing knife was even more unnecessary. Why nerf something that needed skill to use anyway?
-
5 RespuestasGunslingers dont need a buff or rebalance. They are fine and it should not be able to kill someone in 1 blow. If thats going to be the case then every grenade can be a 1 hit kill why not? In fact, they need to reduce the aim assist on the GG because a blind man can kill a entire team with it
-
1 RespuestaIf it's meant to be a trap it needs a damage buff to consistently kill pretty much anyone barring max armor titans or certain people mid super. It also needs a shorter detonation time so people can't literally sprint through it. It could stand to have some more base duration and being less obvious as well.
-
3 RespuestasRan tripmine build with Ahamkara claws last night. Was not disappointed by the nerf. Not sure why people are. Maybe they just weren't using tripmines correctly? Find high traffic areas, look for door frames that stick out a little, toss on the wall about halfway up, watch for anyone that comes through. The blink is harder to see when you can't see the base of the mine. Works wonders on cabal firebase maps.
-
Another thing to consider. If trip mine is intended to be a trap, it needs to last a lot longer than 10 seconds. You should not need Young Ahamkara spines to make them last. As it stands now, trip mine is another ineffective grenade that may get a kill with every once in a while. And they just are nit much fun either.

1 RespuestaLast time I check not all grenades are supposed to be 1 hk. Especially one which u just walk away from and still usually for 10x+ amount of seconds. It still does a lot of damage and leaves mostly everything 1 hk.

Want to see an unbalanced game. Buy "the division". Go to the darkzone. See unbalanced. This is the most balanced game ever.
