Doing prison of elders lvl 28 gives you about 3 coins but takes in between 15-20 minutes to complete. Also doing the daily bounties gives you a chance of strange coins

PoE gives you a chance of up to 7 strange coins per run.

Actually can get as high as 9 I'm pretty sure. 3 from each chest maximum.
