They haven't really been making it up. Everything we've played this far was in there in some aspect, just cut. I think everyone here agrees with you though, and bungie has made the new campaign in RoI a selling point. I hope they follow through.

So you think RoI may touch some on what went down and how everything came to be? To me it looks like "here's another possibly TTK sized DLC to hold the crowd off while we work on Destiny 2." I hope we get more filler with the original storyline... it's like.. the story was moving full speed then they slammed the brakes. Nothing to move it forward since. The DLC's have just felt like side quests... like "oh... while you're putting off playing the main story line, you can run these to kill time" sort of deal.

No, I think the story telling will continue to improve. I hope D2 fills in the other gaps.
