Seriously. When a lobby is full of red bar warriors on the other tem who are invincible but can magically glitch around and kill everyone on my team, then something is up.
Unreal Tournament which was made in 1999 did not have the kind of connection issues that Destiny in 2016 is having. Learn to make a game properly or don't make one at all.
I find it interesting how I can play with people across the world when raiding, but when it comes to PvP, if someone is 50kms away, then the connection is terrible.
Edit
Its okay guys, my savior Netduma has come to make everything better. All paid for by my Tax return.

Oh my UT 99 the greatest game ever created
-
someone gets it. I loved some Unreal Tournament. Happy its coming back! Like you, I to don't understand how a 1999 game on a piece of shit pc with a horrible connection can run a thousand times smoother then a game in 2016. I should say a bungie game.. . cause other fps run way smoother then this shit does.
-
1 RespuestaGo play unreal then, they just came out with a new patch
-
SBMM sucks big caballs
-
12 RespuestasI dont get it. One Hundred people cry that warlocks are op, boom nerfed. Thousands upon thousands ask for sbmm to go away. Bungie doesnt even acknowledge it.
-
12 RespuestasThis is your bad internet, not SBMM. I use an Ethernet cable with great internet and i NEVER have lag issues but when I stop using the Ethernet cable and switch to wifi I lag all over the place because my wifi router sucks.
-
I agree with you on every -blam!-ing point, bro. I am hella average in pvp 1.2 kd and I recently stopped playing because of this lag it has gotten worse worse and worse. I mean how many patches/hot fixes have they pushed already since game release trying to "fix" the pvp and yet no investment in dedicated servers. I enjoyed the pvp don't get me wrong - enjoyed using guns - but getting killed by people glitching all over the map just made me hate it and frustrated the hell out of me. Raids and pve got old. Pvp was the only thing kept making me come back .. but alas no more ... I mean video games are meant to be fun right? If you are raging or getting salty all the time because of such issues then its time to leave and go call another game your staple diet. Let these stupid illiterate people and scum of the earth fight over who can lag switch into the lighthouse ... i am gone. Got my lighthouse runs, did everything there is to do in pvp. The only time I shall be back is when they tell me - we got matchmaking servers people!! Your servers on us!
-
7 RespuestasSkill based matchmaking is a myth! There I said it, what you gonna do? All you shitty internet mother-blam!-ers? Get a better connection than there would be no lag.
-
10 RespuestasSBMM isn't the problem, it's an excuse for people playing with poor internet. I can host a 6 player fire team with players spread across the globe and not lag. Same goes in games, I don't lag at all. If a players red bars during a game they should be removed. If they red bar before the game starts the shouldn't be put in a game, problem solved.
-
1 RespuestaSBMM IS AIDS. REMOVE THIS LAGGY TRASH FROM THE GAME
-
I agree, destiny is the laggiest game I have ever played, been gaming since the 80s. Peer 2 peer is not acceptable in 2016.
-
2 RespuestasI'm sorry to tell you but net Duma isn't going to help you much. I also bought one hoping to at least keep my play to people on my continent. Bungie will not have that, you will constantly get kicked to orbit.
-
2 RespuestasIs it just me or was the year 1 pvp much more less laggy?
-
What if they made it where it searches based on connection first then looks for matches with roughly the same skilled players as you and narrows it down to the best possible match. Wgat im saying is it should be CBMM first then if possible SBMM based on the say top 10 best connection matches. This would make it give the best matches possible

I'm not a good player. In fact I consider myself very bad at crucible. However i'd rather get wrecked by someone truly more skilled than me constantly than getting wrecked constantly by a blinking shadestepling Titan......
-
2 RespuestasFrom the 3/3/16 update: "First and foremost, that means we attempt to find matches with the lowest latency (read: lag) possible. As a secondary concern, we want to insulate players at each extreme of the skill curve from each other. That said, we do not prioritize skill over latency under any circumstances. The newest settings are more aggressive about keeping latency low than we’ve ever had in Destiny. "

1 RespuestaTo anyone saying that going to CBMM will not correct the lag issue have you played any other game other than Destiny. SBMM is the biggest issue with crucible at the moment. P2P connections are just horrible and how they didn't go with servers is just beyond logical thinking. When you can play a game such as Battlefield that has up to 64 players in the game with everything that is going on and not have the slightest lag(after the initial updates) Yet 12 player to as little as 6 can have some of the worst lag I've experienced. That is the power of dedicated servers. COD was P2P but matched up with CBMM. When waiting for a lobby I would rarely see anything above a 100ms ping. My connection has not changed since I started playing online (COD WAW) and I've never had issues until Destiny. I've seen it worse now than ever before.

8 RespuestasKeep sbmm and match on connection Sorry not sorry.

thats why i am # 155451 in trials 😂😂😂

66 RespuestasSeriously, read this post by Jeff Kaplan. Deej could really learn a great many things by paying attention to how Jeff Kaplan communicates with his community. I've been saying this for months: Most people that complain about skill consideration in matchmaking have no idea what they're talking about or how complicated the issue truly is. The rest are generally self-important narcissists that believe they deserve to win more than everyone else. These people never seem to realize that there are actual other real people on the receiving end of all losses that want to win just much as they do. Over a longer enough time line fair matches lead to approximately a 50% win rate. That's a good thing.
-
1 RespuestaI don't know if this is coincidence but I keep getting put in matches with a bunch of hispanics. Not being rude about it either as I am hispanic myself but I'm in the states, and their connection is garbage as hell.
-
2 RespuestasNo, you're putting the enjoyment of an elite few before the enjoyment of a majority. Go play trials if you want CBMM.
-
2 RespuestasThey definitely need to adjust the weighted scales of it. It should be 60% CBMM and 40% SBMM. Not the 90% SBMM and 10% CBMM line it is now...
-
They should just go for connection instead of skill matchmaking. Why don't they do it all the time not just trials?

Can we get his guy a medal for getting an important point this high up in the forums
