So you know how the Titans defended the tower as the darkness tried to invade the city? What if there was a crucible mode just like that?
Here's my idea: the maps take place on various walls on each of the planets. For instance, there could be maps on the wall protecting the city, ect. There would be 2 teams, one team on the wall and one team defending the wall. The team attacking would have slightly more people, I say about 7, while the defending only has 5 people.
The defending party would have the effect known as "defender's valor" throughout the game. This would give defenders +2 armor and they would have the perk which grants stronger shields but health does not replenish
The apposing team would have the effect "offensive vigor" throughout the battle. This would grant the team +2 agility and chaff.
The object of the game would be for the offense to infiltrate the wall, which would have many entrances. At the start of the game, the defenders would capture a single zone on the inside of the base. To win, the attackers must capture the zone and hold it for 1 minute.
The offense would always spawn outside the wall, and the defenders would always spawn inside the wall. The maps would be large to avoid the offense rushing with their superior numbers, but there would be plenty of cover to discourage constantly sniping.
If u have any questions, just ask. If you like this idea, give it a bump. Thanks!
Edit: multiple people have suggested adding AI to the game mode, I think that would be great
Edit 2: heyyyy! We're trending
Edit 3: another idea I saw was to add vehicles to make the fight more interesting
Edit 4: changed "naps" to "maps"
Edit 5: hey guess what? I made a POLL FOR THIS TOPIC, check it out here

Edit 6: changed time that the offense has to hold the zone to 1 minute

7 RespuestasEditado por ferial56: 6/26/2016 9:16:19 PMThe same thing should be made for a PVE gamemode. 6 guardians in good old game of king of the hill. Or wall. The mode will be called "Invasion." It will be an endgame activity available around 320 light. It takes place on the city's wall. A team of 6 guardians are sent in to defend the wall from invading enemies for a period of time until help arrives. Their job will be to hold a certain point, or to not let the enemy advance to a certain area. (Ex. If the 25 of the enemy factions troops cross's a line, you fail.) Players will have access to manual/computer turrets, frames, and maybe even the occasional extra guardians on duty. There will be a total of: 4 auto turrets 2 manual turrets that can be set up 6 frames (those robots in the tower/reef 1/2 guardians It will be the first gamemode to include AI allies. Players will have 2 min to set up defenses and place the turrets where they see fit. 1 frame will be with each guardian. Said guardian can order it's frame to go where they want them to be. Guardians are just there. Extra back up really. Players will have 2 rounds to go through, The round's are moderately hard. Players will hold their ground against a CRAPLOAD (I mean, CRAPLOAD) amount of low tier enemies and the occasional major here and then. They will hold the line. Literally. If a certain amount of enemies pass through the team, it fails. If players survive the both rounds, they will have to deal with an ultra of the enemy faction. The ultra has specific new abilities/mechanics. For example, with RoI coming soon: Boss: Orbital Prime Description: One of the legendary servitors, and worshipped as a god, the orbital prime's power is paired with the technology of the Vex, as well as SIVA. Mechanics/abilities: Grasp of the Machine: All players within certain range and eyesight of the servitors are detained, and are drained of their light (super) and health. Harnessed Plague: The servitor opens its massive red eye, charging a giant laser beam. When charging, it is the only time players can damage the servitor, hit the eye. All frames and guardians hit by the beam are instantly killed. Time before revive is increased by 10 seconds. Is think of maybe 1 more, but I'm too lazy. Anyway, if the players manage to beat the boss. A cutscene occurs showing the reinforcements. Reinforcements wipe out remaining enemy forces, and everyone gets their good loot. EDIT: many suggests this will be too easy, as such, as the round goes on, low tier enemies and majors both increase int tier over time (Dregs to Vandalls to Captains) and majors increase even more. # of enemies gradually increase all together overall.

Or we could have this instead of it being a PvP mode.

That actually sounds really fun

Editado por BravelyHero: 6/28/2016 7:25:37 AMOmfg you want me to run around without a shield?? You lost me at that, oh reader mine. No regen is literally a death sentence in PvE as well as PvP. EDIT: Other than that a very cool idea. I just... wouldn't want to defend....

2 minutes is super long in destiny bit less bro

Sort of sounds like overwatch.

Editado por scooty-bby: 6/27/2016 7:20:50 AMI love how the fans always have better ideas than Bungie do. In all honesty, I love the idea of a 'siege' game mode. In the strikes and raids we're always attacking the darkness etc so it would be great if we could actually defend something :) And I cant imagine its long till we get some sort of zombie mode. Every game needs a good 'run from the zombies' :)

Bing Bing bong.

Build the wall, and make the house of kings pay for it

Donald Trump?

Damn illegals

how about we do this for PvE and go away from PvP for once in a game! :D
-
This reminds me of that game mode in Halo Reach. I think it was called invasion. I remember it being really fun.
-
Wont happen
-
Love the idea!! Maybe though, a lot more players instead of 5 vs 7. Maybe have it like an all out warfare with 15 vs 15, the map will be big enough for that then.

Sounds awesome

I like the idea of having modifiers on crucible matches, maybe that could also be a thing on its own, like a weekly playlist or something

Editado por Touch It: 6/26/2016 7:47:40 PMGreat idea. Too bad every time a good idea comes up, bungie always implements the exact opposite into the game....

This would be a game mode where having people who don't give a shit about the objective would still help the people who care. It would be important to have those slayers, and that would provide a good balance for obj. Game, and no radar would make it interesting as they are supposed to just rush in and see what they can do.

1 RespuestaProbably as a pve matchmaker thing, might be fun. Having like six guardians having to keep control of three zones, similar to pre-VoG. Main difference would be that any one could cap points, maybe a certain wave cap, ending with a powerful boss leading a desperate last charge. Something on each planet w/ different objectives. Earth:Defend the last city Moon:Defend scientist lab Venus:Defend archives Mars:Defend a captured cabal base Reef:Defend queen's subjects Dreadnaught:Attack a summoning pit Just snowballing here

Needs tweaked but that sounds like a fun game mode to me. Maybe some people at Bungie will notice this and discuss.
