Recently, we have been provided with data that supposedly justifies the last patch. For a couple of reasons, I just don't trust it.
First, Bungie has lied to the community before. Don't deny it it's blatantly obvious. They've lied about auto rifle buffs, the "fixing" of lag by painting red bars green, and the secret implementation of sbmm. They have clearly lied in the past to save their own skin, so I wouldn't be surprised if they're doing it again.
Second, there is no way Bladedancer was already a top class when it was just recovering from hit detection issues. I just don't believe it and to this day I am still barely killed by a Bladedancer. I only get killed when the super is well placed and no other time.
Thirdly, isn't it a little sketchy that last week Bungie's excuse was "because it was annoying to fight so we nerfed it,". Now, a week later, they're saying "wait we have numbers now!". Why wait a week to reveal data that supports their claim? It seems sketchy to me.
As a year 1 player, I've been around for the full experience of Bungie "balancing" this game and "fixing" issues. And after seeing what I've seen, I just don't trust the data.
P.S. On a final note, all the data was for PvP, making it seem (again) that Bungie is more concerned about PvP issues than PvE issues (seeing as this data was targeting PvP complaints).

3 RespuestasThe reason the data presented is not trustworthy is simple: it's a snapshot given to justify an action taken. Only an idiot would present data that does not support their actions. In Bungie's case, the data was presented for 1 month. There is no statistical analysis given demonstrating statistical significance to their conclusions. No 'P' value, no validity! That alone invalidated heir claims. As to those questioning your statements, they are also invalid. You are entitled to your own opinion just as Bungie is entitled to theirs. You can be right or wrong but still entitled to have and post your opinion.
-
Their agenda is not in line with my agenda.
-
Who cares it's a casual fps with pvp as an after thought.
-
I doubt that graph was all the info they used to make the re-balance! It's just a snap shot of what they want to tell us!
-
I have seen the data from gaurdian.gg which is a reliable source and it looks the same as the one from bungie.
-
I always thought Gunslingers were OP but I never had a problem with Bladedancers. In fact I always thought they were rare to see

16 RespuestasDon't think you're a year 1 player, your Grimoire is extremely low haven't met anyone from year 1 with that much of a low Grimoire. If you did buy the game when it came out then you must've not played it a lot. Not only that, your KD is not good at all. Just going to assume you get killed by every class and don't know which one kills you the most.

Editado por Rynoceros: 6/24/2016 9:52:24 PMI'm curious why they used such a short period of time. Maybe show the lifelong trend of all subclasses, marking the implementation of other balancing patches, and then evidence recent history as necessasry. Unless, of course, it doesn't support your reasoning. I'm a Shoulder Charge loving Striker, but the nerfs to Throwing Knife and Trip Mine damage was unnessary. What should've been done was a reduction to Golden Gun bullet magnetism. That's it. If they wanted to tone down Bladedancers, disengage Radar while invisible.
-
I can agree with you on that the main hunters you see are gunslingers and nightstalkers I always played as a bladedancer since launch bungie lied to us to many times these numbers dont make sense if it was true there be way more bladedancers then what the community been seeing 9 times outta 10 im the only bladedancer in the lobby

1 RespuestaEditado por BERSEKAEL: 6/24/2016 8:01:46 PMI dont trust your grimoire... lol A good BD would go easily from bottom to top kills with no problems in a single match, plus their super has been improved: -when you cast, you get invisibility right the way ... even midair/airborne if you have vanish skill. -plus last 2 seconds longer than before (in 2 full seconds you can kill an entire team).

7 RespuestasBungie: Here's a K/D graph. -Hunters have the highest KD.- Bungie: " When one Class becomes the default choice for anyone who wants to do well in the Crucible, we see that as a problem." The graph and the statement about one class becoming a default choice have nothing in common. If hunters statistically have a higher KD than other classes, how does that relate to the amount of people using a hunter in crucible? Nothing at all. At least be honest Bungie. Bungie: Hunters are too skilled, we're nerfing them because we want ALL THE GRAPHS to show one common straight line across the board, because that's what we're all about. Graphs graphs graphs. Oh hey, that line is way too high, let's try and bring it down. Actual weapon/perk/player research??? Pshhhh. True balance is evening these thousands of graphs in our offices. Either way, I wasn't sure before, but lightning grenade and shoulder charge are most definitely going to get a nerf soon. Those things are way up there on the graphs node-filled-wise for strikers in crucible for sure. This way of "fixing" the game is absurd. Hey guys, it's Bungie again. Our "graphs" show that the raids are WAAAAYY up there compared to all other activities in the game, and we want to even this out, so we're going to nerf raids and buff strikes. Raids are now shorter, drop 50% less loot and strikes are longer and drop 50% more loot. Fair right?? Wur so smert. Graphs FTW! Hi everyone, it's time for this week's update! We saw that too many players were loitering in the reef compared to the tower! This is terrible as its fcking up our graphs!! So we've decided to nerf the reef and buff the tower. We've removed the gate lord eye from the reef and added more soccer balls and purple balls in the tower. Have a great day! Graphs graphs graphs!! Comparing lines is so much fun!! Balllaaannnce!! Man. And I wasn't even mad about any of the nerfs before. I was confused and didn't understand how it was justified. But now? Damn, Bungie. I used to think they understood their fanbase more than the majority of developers out there. This is disappointing. If this is the way Destiny is headed, everything we like about the game is going to go downhill while they attempt to try and stuff the things we "don't like" down our throats. Way to go Bung, way to go.

Probably because it doesn't fit your argument.
-
The "annoying to fight" part was just about Sunsingers.
-
Maybe you're not being killed by Bladedancers because people at your skill level are terrible?
-
1 RespuestaThe Tin Foil Hat is strong with this one.
-
They put the chart up because people like you complained in the first place. I get killed by bladedancers ALL the time, so that point is moot. And graphs are graphs, and if you have a better authority to compete with that other than opinions and subjective personal experience,I am all ears.

9 RespuestasMore huntards crying....
-
Because you must be from year one.

1 RespuestaThe first time I went flawless I played Bladedancer. I wiped out the entire team several times with it - lots of people run snipers and its a difficult super to snipe. Plus that makes flanking easier. At the end of our 7 (or 8) games I had a total of 7 individual rounds where I tripled the team with Bladedancer or used it to set up a team wipe, by myself. This was before hit detection fixes, too. I haven't had a chance to play with it again since the last patch, but, I certainly think bladedancer was very underrated in 3's. Of course, bungie's graph is all about 6v6, so none of this is relevant.
-
Hunters are in denial. Lol I've seen it all from them.
-
Agreed. I don't believe hunters were being used more than Titans or Warlocks. They seem to have stumbled onto a formula to make everyone jump ship. Keep nerfing what doesn't need it and not fixing what does... The community can still put you in your places.

4 RespuestasIts just a kd chart, thats all. If anything it shows that BD hunters have a more positive experience in pvp and know how to play the class well, even after a supposed nerf. But the chart doesnt show whats op and whats not. Usually when im playing crucible i notice BD hunters tend to be very patient and careful players. They know how the class works extensively. But in no way is a BD op. If anything was op, it was the nightstalker and its wombo combo, or the sunbreaker titans when TTK came out. But nowadays....idk whats op now. I honestly cant see anything in pvp being op except maybe the titan shoulder charge...just maybe. If anything its just a little over the top, but not by much. I can still deal with them when i got my sticky, or a fusion rifle. But idk what everyones crying about when it comes to Pvp
-
3 RespuestasLook at the top 100 people in trials in the world on both platforms. Almost all of them play a hunter, and that wasn't a coincidence. Before you call someone out for lying, at least know what you are talking about.
-
2 RespuestasStats can be used to say whatever you want them to say. They specifically stayed away from 3v3 stats, Why? If you want to know whats op, overused, etc, use trials stats. where the shit matters. Why use stats from the casual playlists? I play rift way differently than I play 3v3. 6v6 dying doesn't matter as much. I play games on my titan, no guns, just melees, grenades, and supers, with feedback fences on. Just for fun, and that gets used for balance? Pull ur collective heads out of ur asses bungie.
