This shit feels like RNG when a bullet hits. Every time a patch comes out I have to reteach myself how the LW works again. Over it. If you think TLW is OP then try buffing other primarys. You might actually see less secondary hardscoping and more actual engagements. Fckers.

3 RespuestasThey straight up slaughtered poor Hawkmoon. I'm literally crying, why did they do this to my gun??

1 RespuestaAt least it's not like D&D anymore... "I shoot the dreg in the face!" *rolls a 3* "Oh, sorry. Your shot misses the dreg and ricochets into the dirt." "Damn..." *switches to pulse rifle on next turn*

Same goes for fusion rifles. I'll have only 3 bolts cause any damage even when 6 hit him.

10 RespuestasYeah it's really annoying Ghost bullets happen too often

3 RespuestasGet closer and hit ur shots like how hand cannons are meant to be. The last word isn't op it's balanced. After June update all hand cannons feel really strong. They just don't want people sniping with them anymore
-
the first curse is actually fun to use in pve now.

3 RespuestasHawkmoon feels much better after the june update

6 RespuestasJust fyi tlw is op again. I went on a 15 kill streak my first PVP match after playing two weeks of halo campaign. Oh and hardscoping isn't something I do much any more. I either quickscope or try to noscope.

Actually hand cannons pre 2.3 withrangesuch as The Imago Loopwoth rifled barrel was an amazing gun and that's what I used almost exclusively in PvP. Now they increased the damage fall off so steeply that Themis range engagement that their range works in is dominated by pulse rifles such as the GoM, Hawksaw, and PDX-45. That range is also where doctrine currently sits at. Hand cannons now have to compete with 2 different types of guns and 3 archetypes. Pre 2.3 my imago was perfect and felt extremely balanced now it is lackluster due to the changes to hand cannons.

I haven't played in a while. I thought I'd check out these forums. Hand cannons used to be my favorite. If you were a good shoot and landed a lot of head shots it was worth it. When you get that reticle right over the face, pull the trigger and nothing! That is so frustrating.

I feel like I get ghost bullets while hip firing with TLW, is it my accuracy or just a little bug ???
-
1 RespuestaInstead of having to readjust to the LW, try using other hand cannons or try using a different weapon type.
-
They fk with them because you like using them. If bungie finds out you like using something guess what, they'll fk with it.

Editado por iDovahBear: 6/25/2016 11:33:59 AMTo be fair I like the post-2.3 update The Last Word over the former one. I don't know why, but I've never liked TLW since Year One anyways, and even then I preferred Thorn. For awhile in Year Two I used it because it was meta, but I never enjoyed it as much as most Hand Cannons. The current rendition actually speaks to me, though. It has a good rate of fire for the current Hand Cannon range nerf. Since they can't hit precision shots effectively at true medium/intermediate ranges, they've been forced to contend in a shorter niche that ends up being bullied by faster fire rate Autos and Pulses. These TLW-style Hand Cannons finally have a meta they can rule in or at least show up without feeling gimped. But that also means TLW is a bit too strong even now. I'll never understand why they nerf Hawkmoon into the -blam!-ing ground but can't help but keep their precious Spray n Pray gun competitive. Bungie bias is strong.

this is an example of people not actually forming their own opinions but parroting old ones. HC are good now start watching more YTbe vids and start parroting the new opinions lol

14 RespuestasHand cannons had bloom with TTK patch. Felt pretty horrible trying to readjust to every new accuracy patch. With this one, they finally brought them back to exactly how they felt in year 1. I love the handling but am not a big fan of the drop off- however I'll take 100% accuracy and no bloom with drop off any day. You'll adjust.
-
Even then the TLW would be OP tbh It melts you from 2feet - 10feet and i believe it got a small range buff since the last patch. So it also is viable in close to mid range fights

6 RespuestasEditado por mus: 6/24/2016 3:38:51 PMWatch this control gameplay and notice how crispy the shot registration was for every shot. You only appreciate things when they are nerfed :( https://youtu.be/iN7GxKI-sJs

I'm kind of disappointed with the hand cannons, autorifles, and mid to high impact pulse rifles. They need a slight tweaking to make them compete with the other weapons. I just started getting handcannon drops from packages and tried using them in the crucible and they are very inconsistent with accuracy. You have to wait in between shots even at close range. If you have someone shooting at you with any high rate of fire weapon you can't compete.
