I started the grind on Dec 6th 2015...
Here it is, June 23rd and I still do now own The Comitatus. In that time I have grinded 305 New Monarchy ranks.
45 on my Warlock
75 on my Hunter
185 on my Titan
I have no problem grinding for what I want, but 6+ months worth? That seems a bit excessive. It's because of this I believe The Comitatus is bugged in some manner. Similar to how The Road Unraveled was bugged for FWC.

That is the best thread I've seen talking about The Comitatus. I got TTK Dead Orbit ship shortly after TTK went live. Many guardians who do not own TTK Dead Orbit report getting The Comitatus at rank 25. I even have a few friends that do not own TTK Dead Orbit ship and they got The Comitatus at rank 25.

6 RespuestasNow there was ships I did not have for a long time (like the trials). I decided to test a idea. I took my titian and deleted all but 2 ships. 1 legendary and 1 blue I liked. (Deleted not vaulted still available from the keyosik just not in my current inventory). After this my titian started to get 3x the ship drops. (I got the trials ship the next week). The other faction ships dropped as well. In fact all but the TTK ship, 1 blue, and the 3 PVP (the green ones) have dropped for me now. Give this a try. Maybe it will work for you.

Bumping once again. I'm currently farming some FWC rep for the Road Unraveled. It was fixed in the June update so that it drops for all guardians. I expect to get it soon. If only The Comitatus would get the same treatment.

If you are referring to actual gameplay to advance your status then I'd say you play too much and probably should have gotten it by now. But for that many levels you are probably turning a lot of mats to gain levels. Since none of us know how the loot system really works other than simple RNG explanations it may go much deeper and more convoluted. Maybe those who farm mats have a less likely chance than those who naturally gain levels without doing so. Not saying they are but they may have some kind of multiplier based on time between obtaining levels that skews the loot tables. It wouldn't surprise me.

1 RespuestaI agree with you man, I have a theory about this bug and I hope that this bug would be fixed soon. The Taken King Dead Orbit ship is causing this bug. Most of the people that cant get the TTK NM Ship have the TTK DO ship. When you get the TTK DO ship the smart packages system removes the other ships from the loot pool because the smart packages system assumes that you already own them. bump, in the same boat. Have all other faction ships & switched to nm on my hunter (now lvl 27) still no comitatus. definitely bugged somehow, lvl 148 on warlock & kinda given up. meh!

I'm in the same boat. 2 levels after the patch FWC ship dropped but still no comitatus at rep level 40+.

Bump, NM TTK ship is the last one I need too. So many heavy synths..... I hope it's not bugged. It be nice if Bungie explained what the issue was with the FWC ship before the patch.

I just hit rank 25 today in New Monarchy and got The Comitatus ship. I do not own the TTK Dead Orbit ship. Hopefully Bungie gets this fixed before you reach rank 400!
