Hello, I went from having an avg k/d with my Hunter around 1.5-1.75 and life was ok. But the past year and moving to an older house my k/d is plummeting.
When Destiny has ANY connection issues, I feel it more than I think most (as far as damage recog. goes). This last match I ran into a tether (so I was bound, not shot straight up with one), and got one-shot by the Mida.
Talked to Bungie and their recommendation is to clear my cache, which I do daily which helps sometimes. I also have frame rate issues with the game, very hard to aim when the game itself lags.
Wondering the next step as Bungie is no help, do I buy a better modem? Any help (other then get gud) will be helpful.

Editado por Atryu: 6/24/2016 4:23:21 AMJust in case anyone's curious, I had the internet checked from the cable company today. He said the modems old and can't handle our internet package (pretty much a T1). He replaced it with a new model. Connections much better but had 2 baboons, but one was due to a lagger, and he crashed the whole match. Anyways had a much better experience, got some 2kds matches (but also had 2 under 1kd) and I feels like my bullets are doing damage. I lost some 1v1s but that was my crappy aim and got pinched some too, but that happens. So I'm not gonna get my hopes up too much but for now it feels fair.

I was having huge problems with destiny for a few months I tried everything router new cables, even uped MPs I even was gonna switch my cable provider. They sent someone out to my house. Long story short, a animal ate threw part of the line, they replaced it,. Internet runs better than ever. Worth looking in to.

I've stayed at around a 1.4 since the beginning. I just adapt to the good guns at the time
-
Fyi avg is like 0.9 1.5-1.75 is like too 10%-5% Just saying lol
-
Your k/d plummet? What, do you have bad gun skills? Try playing as a defender and keeping that kind of K/D.
-
My kd went down and down and down for 6 months. It used to be something around 1.25, now it's around 1.10. Year 2 sniper meta has done it, I haven't changed my game up to compensate. Thing is, I'm 36 and truly don't care any more. Back in the days of modem warfare, I cared more than I should, now I play for fun and that's it.
-
My kd isn't bad, but isn't good either. I don't really pay much attention to it anymore. After you've played this game for a long time it kinda makes you not give a fuk u know?
-
1 RespuestaYou sound like one of those players who check their kd after every other game.

1 RespuestaWhaaaaaaat!! bungie replied? ;) I'm on a wired NBN connection but I still have games where I can't damage the enemy but they can kill me just fine. Pisses me off when I am wrecking a team and then halfway through I'm redbarring and have to do twice or 3X as many hits to kill someone, heck sometimes I'm greenbarring and it still happens.

1 RespuestaBuy an Ethernet cable = profit

1 RespuestaI was at 2.1 before taken king dropped..a week later I was at 1.7, now I've leveled out at 1.4
-
Lucky, my K.D hasn't moved an itch since.....before TTK.
-
Same for me. Most likely lag and SBMM.
-
Search YouTube to increase ps4 WiFi connection. Also I noticed being in the app redbars me occasionally.

4 RespuestasDestiny isn't perfect sometimes being a badass isn't enough, you gotta have the right guns at the right time, made a sacrifice to the Lag Lords and a strategy.

7 RespuestasHard wire? System? How did you clear your cache? Google dns? It seriously does help Static ip? Port forwarding? Dmz? Upnp? Upnp and port forwarding? Type of tv you use? Know the latency lag? Play in "game mode?" Truthfully, I'm in the same boat...steadily declining kdr. Can't find a primary I enjoy anymore, and it's mostly due to lag causing missed hits Or handcannon accuracy bloom bs

1 Respuestawhy r u assed about kd... mines shite but i still kill every mother-blam!-er i play against... and i always finish top. it's about fun dude

6 RespuestasMan that must be harsh... Can you wire a laptop or pc and run an ookla speedtest and post results? Just google search ookla speedtest.

1 RespuestaI've had problems before, not with destiny, and comcast ran a new line to the house. It improved significantly. The last two weeks I've had problems with the connection to Destiny servers kicking me from gameplay. Do you have this problem as well or is it just what you mentioned?
-
1 RespuestaHow did you clear your cache? Cheers for reply

1 RespuestaStrange as it may sound my problem was the coaxial cable in my house. I had already replaced my modem and router and still had problems. My isp recommended moving my modem to the point their lines enter the house. Check things that don't involve spending money first.

Mine has plummeted from 1.7 to around 1.4 now. I cannot understand, as I could not be any more precise with my hand cannon.

3 RespuestasEditado por stnbooth: 6/22/2016 7:01:00 PMYou had to move to an older house? That's better than Taniks at least. Can you believe he still has no house? Sorry, I couldn't resist. In all seriousness though, wired connection, keep cache cleared, keep all other electronics off the network while playing, and bump up your package speed through your ISP. If you've done all that, you're kind of out of luck.

5 RespuestasSBMM is the reason for your kd plummeting, and the lag. But mostly your kd.
