Hey, patrollers. Get in here.
I'm curious about your patrolling habits.
Where do you like to patrol the most? The least?
What areas of each location do you find yourself at?
Where do you rarely go?
Favorite eye candy?
Favorite place to engage the taken? Least?
What is some is something you find you always must do regardless of the location?
I usually end up at the cosmodrome around the divide.
I'd say rarely find myself on the moon if I am don't go over to the hell mouth much.
The taken zealot on Mars that spawns in the barrens. I get on top of building 7 (or is it 9?) And just rain death down it.
If I'm passing through the shipyard I always have to say hi to Randal. Usually with a shotgun.
Edit: I love the responses everyone. I'm really happy to see so many of us well and truly enjoy patrol activities. It's such an underrated part of Destiny.

I take off my gloves I place them upon the side I then put on my robe... I pick up my gloves I notice my band Is a little loose I tighten said band.... I put on my gloves I make my way to my weapon cabinet I grab weapons.... the ones that kill...obviously....I make my way towards ship... I struggle to open said ship.... I swear several times at ship...ship opens..... I enter....I decide time to patrol mars.... I land. ... I die.... I forgot pants.....and ghost........... The end..... "Maximum effort"

9 RespuestasHere is what patrol needs. I want the "Enemies move against each other" on a massive scale. Imagine spawning in on mars, and all you see are cabal lauching huge salvos of rockets onto hydras and minotaurs, while goblins and hobgoblins snipe the colossus in the back ground. To the right of the battle field, you have taken vs cabal, and taken vs vex, maybe even have some fallen of the house of wolves drop in to help turn the tide. On top of this, i want a bug blaring red dot on the patrol marker when ever this happens. Before you load in, you choose which side you will fight for, and if your side wins, you will earn weapons from the enemy factions. Do you want to help the cabal? Then you can. The cabal wont shoot you, and you can fight along side the centurions to smash the vex bots into dust. If you win, you might get a colossus chain gun! Do you want to help the vex? Watch as harpies and hydras mow down the enemy, block with their shied, tanking the damage. If the vex win, you could get a torch hammer from the minotaur. But wait! During the battle, not only will you fight cabal, vex, taken, and fallen, but if a guardian has joined on the other team, you are obligated to take them out. Imagine a full cabal battalion, led by a fireteam of 6 guardians, barreling into a battalion of vex, led by another 6 guardians. IMAGINE THE CARNAGE! IMAGINE THE SPECTACLE! IMAGINE THE GLORY!! THIS IS HOW PATROL SHOULD BE

Tombships and skiffs flying everywhere, a massive ground war, explosions, maybe even be able to pick up hive swords and scorch cannons, a commander on each side coming in a powerful, ominous fashion.[spoiler]Overall, something that would be fun to both participate in or sit and watch.[/spoiler]

Go where the bounties take me. Then get out of patrol as quickly as possible. Easily the most boring part of the game now. It's just stale as f.

4 RespuestasUnless I'm doing specific bounties I'll always run patrol on Earth. I've found that it has the highest spawn rate for "Kill VIP Target" patrol missions. They can be done quickly and they net some of the highest rep.

I like patrolling most in the Scablands on Mars.I like to wait on my sparrow and charging down the dunes whenever a lieutenant zealot appears. Bungie, can I have the Tusken raider arm pump with my gun?

Just under 2/3 of my Destiny playtime is Patrol.... Y1, my favorite area to farm glimmer was The Divide on Earth. Now I like the Breach on the Dreadnaught. I also spend a lot of time at The Citadel on Venus. But I go wherever the bounties take me every day.

Every area has it's value depending on what bounties you are doing. I like to run the Steppes and Divide the most on Earth as I use it to farm exotics using TOC and glimmer too.

I like patrolling the Cosmodrome the best. I spend most of my time in The Divide, but I do the missions in the steppes on the way through and then usually wander over to rocket yard as well. My least favorite place to patrol is the dreadnaught, and that's because it just feels too claustrophobic. I usually do the kill everything missions first, then the kill and collect, then pick up a scout, scan, or vip mission and relocate to wherever that takes me. The only missions I usually skip are the taken missions, because they're a lot of work for not a lot of rep, comparatively. My favorite sight to see on patrol is in Skywatch, behind the helicopter, looking out toward the rockets in the distance. Maybe the best view in the game. I always open as many treasure chests as I can, because I'm still chasing after that last elusive ship I need, the crypt hammer. I'll usually do most public events that pop up, but I'll probably skip the eliminate the targets or prevent vex sacrifices unless there are other people around to help. And oh, yeah. I hate the taken showing up. Hate it. It always screws with my bounty farming. I usually just ignore them too and move to a new spot unless someone else is there. Then I'll pop a three of coins and get to work.

I'm a fan of every patrol zone, with the Dreadnaught being my least favorite. I tend to go wherever has the materials I need, but Earth and Venus are usually my go-to locations. I'm not really a fan of the Taken engagements any more. I mich prefer when the locals wage war against one another. Use a glimmer item and have a bit of fun.

I like every location (Venus especially) except for the Moon because there's really nothing to do there. I don't usually stay in one place, but when I'm on Venus I like to stick to the coast. I don't usually go into strike areas, unless a patrol mission takes me there. Literally everywhere on Venus is eye candy to me. I don't like seeing the Taken at all. They always de-spawn enemies that I'm a second away from killing. Usually at the exact moment I use my super. I really, really don't like Taken. I don't even get Taken bounties unless I'm extremely close to ranking up because they're so awful. Whenever I start a patrol my objective is to rank up my Vanguard. And you can do it so easily now. Once I even ranked up my Vanguard twice in one day.

1 RespuestaHere's a hint. When on patrol if you want help walk thru to the area don't run. It gives time for the server to match make in the next area. If you want to be alone run or fly as fast as you can. If you're on a fireteam 1 person should go along first and you will have a better chance others will be there if you want help for a taken boss.

Also, I think it's the most visually appealing patrol. No least favorite, they'e all good. I think one of my favorite things is how much of it is underground, but with no patrol beacons, I don't go down there a lot. When I do, I basically never go down into the Temple of Crota, the World's Grave, or the Shrine of Oryx; I just make the easy Archer's Line -> Circle of Bones -> Hellmouth loop. Best eye candy is probably "shooting stars" on the moon. The Taken suck everywhere. That's part of why I go to the moon! (Are you sensing a theme here?). If I must fight them, I'd choose Darnu, Horn of Oryx in the Divide because he's pretty easy to snipe, and there's usually help around, and if you get a simultaneous event it's just the walker. Iroxi, Lost to Oryx is a close second, because Petra seems to want us to kill him (her?) almost every week. But it's a shitshow if there aren't many other guardians around, and/or if you get a warsat or the enemy moving against each other, and then Urzok shows up... I will basically always do a kill everything patrol. It feels like a moral obligation (my clanmates tease me about this, actually).

I don't have a vex glimmer ghost so I try avoid vex areas,no point in shooting vex unless I have a vex specific bounty or an arms day weapon to test !

I like this post... So, let me begin. I LOVE visiting venus for 1 thing: LANDSCAPING. That's right, and here is what i mean: I pull out a sword with no ammo and i do the glitch which makes your weapon invisible. And then i scape the land by turning off my hub and getting some beautiful pics and videos of the exotic world, Venus. I love doing what i do, becuase it gives me a sense of how much effort and beauty they put in to one planet. I love it.

10/10 would read thread again. Always find myself wandering on patrol just cleaning up beacons for no real reason.

I normally go to Earth for the high priority targets. The starting location or the bit after it is good. I rarely go to the Moon because it's kinda boring. In terms of eye candy, Mars ftw. Earth or the Citadel at Venus is good for Taken due to the amount of people farming. What must I do? Connect my Spotify!

1 RespuestaI use to run around the Earth and Venus pretty regularly. I mean, back during y1 I would try to do all of the vanguard bounties every day so I knew exactly where to go. But, what use to be hours of fun is now stale and repetitive. But hey, it happens as games get old.
