The fundamental scientific belief in a round earth is flawed. For example, jumping proves that earth is not a spinning ball: the ground does not rotate beneath you. Also, imagine the impossibility of staying "glued" to a massive sphere spinning at 1000mph: you would get flung off. Spherists try to explain away these simple, intuitively demonstrable proofs by making reference to "gravity". Its their magic solve all. However, ask them "[i]what is gravity?[/i]" and they will say "[i]the mass of an object bending space[/i]" or something like that. Ask them the fundamental question "[i]explain how mass creates gravity[/i]" and they have no answer. Of course, they think they do, and they will give you long detailed explanations that boil down to: "[i]gravity is true because we can see it[/i]". But see the problem? Saying an invisible force is true, simply because you see something happen, ignores every other possible cause of the effect. Its like saying: "[i]I found my keys because God helped me[/i]". And saying "[i]my keys fell because gravity[/i]" carries just as much objective value. This shows that belief in a round earth, gravity, and the all powerfulness of "science" is no more than religious faith. [b]SCIENCE IS RELIGION[/b]. These are the fundamental issues that just scratch the surface. No one has been able to make a water tight case against a flat earth. Why? Because it [b][i]IS[/i][/b] flat.
