Quit whining! Seriously! You're only complaining because you can't get easy kills on noobs any more. You moan about noobs complaining because they're struggling to play the game, yet you're moaning because you have to actually work to get kills now. Lazy bastards!
This game is for everyone, not just for you. SBMM allows everyone to fight a fair fight and improve at a more gradual pace. You claim they can't improve unless they're playing people better than themselves, that's not entirely true! Who's going to improve when they can't even stay alive long enough to see anything? Just giving an example here...
As you improve with SBMM you're gradually match made against higher skilled players that match or nearly match your increasing skill level. Occasionally one or two really skilled players will be thrown in there but if you find yourself really struggling it'll tone down the difficulty a bit so you don't have to die repeatedly but can actually stand your ground.
Let's face it, a country isn't going to send their army armed with assault rifles into a war against an army armed with tanks and missiles are they? That would be sending them on a suicide mission. No, they'd regroup and try to at least match their opponents strength.
I'm honestly surprised by how many people are threatening to quit destiny purely because Bungie have put their foot down and said no to noob farming in the crucible. If you're a really good PvP player than what exactly is your problem playing against other really good PvP players? Afraid your K/D might go down? Awww... Want a tissue?

8 RespuestasYou do realize that why people are complaining is that SBMM is laggy and broken and playing the same ten people over and over is no fun. Not to mention that as it goes by the highest skill for matchmaking it deters people who take pvp seriously from playing with less skilled friends and less skilled players from playing with their more skilled friends because they'll be matched with people they stand no chance against and that's no fun.

1 RespuestaEditado por Killlerschaf: 6/21/2016 1:01:52 PMI'll tell you the same as everyone else who doesn't seem to understand it. There are competitive games like Halo. They have a balanced sandbox, Dedicated servers, no rotating meta games, no lag, dedicated ranked playlists with a league and ladder system just as well as dedicated social playlists with much less SBMM. Then there are casual games like Destiny. No dedicated servers, endless amounts of lag, rotating meta games, no ranked playlists, no league or ladder system and no balanced sandbox. Halo is a game with the correct infrastructure in place for SBMM. Destiny isn't. It's honestly that simple. (that Destiny is so laggy and unbalanced (which gets reinforced by RNG god rolls) is by far the biggest issue and rends an SBMM ad absurdum. When lag dictates the winner of a gun battle, skill is not the decisive factor anymore)

Anyone think part the problem is the better you are the more cheaters you run into?
-
The problem with SBMM isn't that it makes every match a sweat fest. It's that it's no longer connection based. Meaning instead of getting killed, maybe being upset about it, but thinking ok that was possible, it happened oh well, you now get shot through walls by people who teleport because half the lobby is red barring.

7 RespuestasAn army would send tanks, gunships, bombers, and fighter jets against a country that only has rifles. That's how wars are won in the most efficient manner. War isn't about playing fair, it's about using the resources you've got to the best of your ability. That's also why each country tries to train their military to be better than others. So other than the horrible analogy you made, there's one other big argument that I always make against SBMM. With this system in place it makes it incredibly punishing to play with friends. For example I had two coworkers come back to the game a couple of months ago. They both enjoy playing crucible, however their "skill level" by game standard is a lot lower than mine, along with being quite far behind on their weapon and armor collections. So when they play by themselves, with SBMM in place, they do fine, often leading the score board. However any time we play together, they struggle to not be in the very last place. How's that a fair system? Are we all expected to be evenly skilled to play together?

So if what you say is true, then why is it 9 out of 10 games I play I'm matched with people way above my "skill". You saying I'm a good PVP player, because my stats say I'm advridge. I've kept track. I'm always match with the same 60 players (give or take a little). The matches suck and there are more curb stomps now than I ever had before SBMM. SBMM sucks, and is not working as intended. My playing of PVP has dropped sharply sense it was added. Why? Every game the same people. Every game every one using the same guns. Every game the same redbars lagging there way to a win. Every -blam!-ing game FORCED to use the same guns same play style. Just turn SBMM off already.

9 RespuestasHackers inflate kds. Use logic good players are increasingly fighting hackers the better they get.. All games should primarily be connection based. Skill or level could be secondary methods of matchmaking but connection should always take priority.

2 RespuestasSo I made a new character. Something to do and what not. Since there is no choice between unranked and ranked. I get out into matches with people much less skilled them me. Is that fair? Or did I just cheese Sbmm? Wouldn't it make more sense to have a ranked and unranked playlist?
-
1 RespuestaI'm no PvP elitist and my KD is pretty crappy, I think. And I have no interest in pwning noobs. However, as a mediocre-at-best player, when I get my arse handed to me I'd rather it's becomes I'm matched against someone out of my league. Not that I'm matched against someone with a dodgy Internet connection.

The more people complain, they better the chances are that they actually implement ranked/unranked playlists. Which is what they should have done to begin with.
