Guns aren't fundamental rights.
Americans are too stupid to understand their own laws, probably because they are written in a bastardised version of someone else's language.

Yeah. Its funny. They still use english that the english ditched years ago.

Having the right to own a gun is a fundamental right of an American.
-
So is not living in poverty
-
That's false.
-
Where does it say that in the Constitution?
-
Really? Are you American?
Americans are too stupid to understand their own laws

lemme guess. you're just going to idiotically quote miller? yeah, no. the '34 NFA law was originally intended to ban all firearms, especially those used by the poor, those used by poachers, and those used by mobsters. but they changed it at the last moment so it would pass legal scrutiny. SCOTUS can change their mind and have done so with Heller vs D.C. and McDonald vs. Chicago.

if you're going to use the well regulated bit, stop now. that's historical revisionism because in that time, well regulated meant well functioning and continued to do so until the 1980s when most dictionaries dropped that definition. the "militia" in that case was the people as the founders did not intend for a standing army. this was later clarified in the dick act that the american people are the reserve of the reserves should an event happen and the army reserves need more people immediately.(this is how the draft for the military/selective service is legal)
Wow, you must be fun at parties.

SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED

To regulate a well armed militia? TBH in my town people are crazy about guns, but there's no organized militia. Most people just keep them for show in my state.

3 commas = you're illiterate

I'm going to try and continue this conversation like a civilized adult. Whether you choose to join me or act like a child is up to you. Speaking of the grammar you pointed out. The 3 commas thing, is something I think you should look at.... I linked a picture for you to see. So yeah, there is a "right to bear arms", but then there's a further declaratory and restrictive clause talking about militias. "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." The point of this part of the bill of rights was to make it so if Americans felt that their current government was tyrannical, then they could overthrow it. So that's why that guns are legal for pretty much everyone right? I feel that most modern gun owners have guns for their safety rather than then the safety of our nation. Would you say that's accurate? Either way, guns are here to stay right? I'm no crazy left gun control advocate, but coming from South Korea, America seems to have almost no gun regulations at all.

The intent was never stated in the Amendment that is known as the Bill of Rights. If there is no intent, then the Supreme Court decides what it means. The Court has decided that it means that people have the right to bear arms like they did in the Battle of Athens and could possibly do again. Anyways, even if the Amendment ONLY said for a militia, where do you think the militia gets the guns and people? From the earth or sky? No. These militiamen are from commonfolk who wish to resist. Alright, so now we have an Amendment that has only protections for militias and a group of people who wish to form. Now all they need are the guns that they weren't able to get beforehand. How do they get the guns? Petition the government for guns? Illegally smuggle them in? The best course would be the legal one, of course, but why in the living fuсk would a government give you the weapons needed to overthrow it? They wouldn't and so now the Second is useless. Done and done. You've a militia with no guns and no ability to attain guns.
-
Thanks for laying off the insults, but did you read what I typed, and look at the picture? I'm not sure where this "where do the guns come from" argument is from, but I'm not sure I follow your logic there. The government HAS to give people guns to overthrow them. It was a security measure in case of a tyrannical government. Knowing the founding father's past with King George III, they would've wanted to prevent that from ever happening here. America is supposed to be the land of the free. What kind of place would it be if someone got absolute power through some technicalities? It wouldn't be America. That's why we (Americans) have the ability to restart. We can overthrow our government and start again with new leaders. You have to hand it to the founding father's. They came up with pretty much every security system necessary to keep freedom in America and prevent a dictatorship.

Not what it meant moron

M8, the picture even says that there's a declaratory and RESTRICTIVE clause in the 2nd amendment. So..... Yeah. So there are restrictions. The 2nd amendment isn't all powerful, but guns are here to stay. I think you might want to check what you post. The whole militias thing isn't supporting your argument.

All I said was "sure". I didn't state my opinion on the matter.
