Edit: hunter gunslingers and sunbreakers are reporting have the same issue when hitting their incendiary grenades. Could it just be a burning issue?
Edit: warlocks are reporting the solar grenade to not be killing even when people standing inside of it
Edit : User samwenchester has reported the issue on weapons as well but it fluctuates randomly
Edit: User misskellykenzie has reported viking funeral to be working as intended outside of relics

Yeah, I tried chucking Touch of Flame/Viking Funeral grenades at the Warpriest to see if we'd do more damage. I was wrong.

My set up was Firebolt, Flame Shield, Viking Funeral, and Touch of Flame with a 335 Eyasluna. I did 1973 on a normal critical. I hit him with a Firebolt and did 2072 while he burned. Keep in mind that the mission was level 240, and I'm 335. I used weapons. The video in your post shows damage with a relic. I did the same with the melee attack burn and got the same results as my fire bolts. I then switched to Gift of the Sun so I only had Viking funeral for my melee. Results were the same. So I am confused about this. It seems to work fine for me. Edit: After going to the same mission as in the video, The Sword of Crota, and reaching the swarm princes, my Eyasluna had similar results compared to Draksis. HOWEVER, the relic did 3655 normally and while burning the first prince, it did 1919. From this test, the burn seems to only affect damage with a relic like the sword. The subclass and gear had no change. I used the same set up as before. I didn't use the slam attack. I used a slash. Drawing conclusions, this leads me to believe that the change works fine EXCEPT if you are holding a relic. The debuff works as intended with a regular weapon but not a relic from my tests. 6 RespuestasNever posted on the forums but as this is the only post ive seen addressing the issue I think its finally time I do. I noticed this on my last Crota run on Friday, a few days after the update. Warlock running Viking funeral, touch of flame with fusion grenades. 2 fusions makes Crota kneel (as normal) and the sword did next to no damage. Exact same as your video. However i just tried further testing it earlier today. I removed viking funeral but kept touch of flame on, he still did not take full damage from the sword until the burn stopped. Just did a run with Viking Funeral and no Touch of Flame, he took full damage. The Dragons Breath burn technique still works and he takes full damage while kneeling. So either all grenade burn damage is causing a raised armor problem (hence why a 4 damage per tick instead of 7) or the grenade/knife burn damage is a separate issue and Touch of Flame is actually the problem. My guess is they broke the burn on everything entirely and the effects are far more noticeable on Warlocks because of the grenades using Touch of Flame.

4 RespuestasThis is why I switch to voidwalker after stormcaller was nerfed. I hope Bungie is happy for making supers not fun at all. I still don't understand the concept of how sunsinger was considered op before it was nerfed but nobody says a word about golden gun and it's ability to one shot from across the map. I'm not asking for a nerf, but really? Compare golden gun to other supers and tell me it's not op.

3 RespuestasI've noticed it happening running in normal pve with gun crit damage. But it's random and glitchy, sometimes it does less damage but most of the time it does more. I think the glitch is coming from the fact they tries to specifically code viking funeral to provide a damage buff to every source except the burn. The burn is what causes the buff but is also doing damage itself, but not buffed damage. They got their wires crossed somewhere

5 RespuestasPerhaps it's bungies way of making us warlocks better. We have to fight just that much harder than everyone else. Stand proud warlocks, we don't need no stinkin nades, supers or bubbles. We ooze charisma, and thats all we need. And we're still the best looking class.
