This is a war game, and it is a weapon design to kill. PvP, if you follow the story line, is to train us to go out and kill in PvE.
If grenades in general are so OP that you feel you have to make them non-lethal, perhaps you are misunderstanding what weapons f war are supposed to do.
That being said, if they are so OP, leave them lethal and just extend the cool down.
As for tripmie stickiness, Bungie says they were never supposed to be sticky, and yet they have been sticky for how many releases? And the description of them eve3r told us that sticking them would cause more damage. That does not sound like a mistake. That sounds like Bungie lying to make up excuses to get rid of stickiness on tripmines.

9 RespuestasLightning nades and spike nades don't stick to guardians. Same logic. Can't have the best of both worlds. A zoning device and a stickie isn't fair. I can't remember how many times a dying hunter just throws his tripmine as I outgun them and gets the panic stick. It's one of the most annoying experiences and I always thought it shouldn't be a thing. I'm glad they fixed it.

1 RespuestaSince it doesn't seem anybody else is saying this, I will. I agree that it is a war game and in some forms, it tries to be realistic in terms of shooting physics. The damage system is very weird, as if all of the materials are practically identical. But it is a game, games are meant to be fun. And the truth is, war isn't fun. The setting of this game is very dark, cryptic and depressing. So, they attempt to make it fun by making it fair. I've never used a grenade in real life, but I'm assuming you can carry loads of them on you. Like 25 easily, probably more. It would be very, very, unfair if grenades did realistic damage. Because the ARE weapons designed to kill. They may get slight tweaks, but they will always remain weak to keep combat fair and varied.

6 RespuestasPrimaries should always be the primary method of getting kills. Melee, grenades and secondaries are used too often

Because they heard ppl bitch about firebolts for months then broke tripmines along with it. Arc bolt are one of most useless nades in game. Used to be strong. But they suck ass now. Skip nades no longer track enemies. 3 times i threw em earlier it hit wall and just landed on ground. Keep in mind there were ppl around the corners when i threw them.

I think it's an ok change..I mean the game was turning into a get a grenade hit then fire 1 shot for the kill..anybody and they momma can perfect that play style.
-
Because batches don't want to die from anything... grenades were just the start. If they have their way they will nerf weapons to the point that you will start collecting social security before you put enough dps to drop someone in crucible.

2 RespuestasFirebolt grenades are no longer lethal and nobody bats an eye. Trip mine grenades are no longer OHK and everybody loses their minds.

4 RespuestasI agree with you on this as a mostly casual player I very rarely stuck players with tripmine grenades
-
15 RespuestasAny grenade can kill. Its not hard to place one in a spot where the enemy can run past and not see and get hit. U hit them once and they die. Get gud and stop bitching
-
3 RespuestasOh no no no. You can't post this. Everyone knows that grenades are not lethal. Now magic touch's and shoulder charges thats leathal. But ordnance no no sir. Explosive don't hurt. They just make loud sounds.
-
I think they want them to finish players off or throw grenade then follow up with your primary
-
I got really good at sticking tripmines to people right before the nerf…

1 RespuestaI agree. Grenades should be skillful but if a grenade is solely damage based it whould kill stuff. Some nades have alterior perks like suppression or DOT I understand if those dont kill but a strictly damage grenade should kill and take good aim to hit.
