Which would it be? I tried to pick the most iconic aircraft of the time.
I'd want a P-51 myself, though it would be pretty cool to own a Zero.
Remember, they don't strap you into a Spitfire, you strap it onto your back.

2 RespuestasI simply have a soft-spot in my heart for everything/anything that was designed by Kelly Johnson. He (and his team) were never afraid to break molds, think outside of the box, and as a result, their aircraft were not only ground-breaking, but were flying works of art. So, my WWII warbird of choice (as the question is "what one would you want to have as your own?") is the P-38.

Hellcat all the way. Definitely my favorite plane.

2 RespuestasJust FYI it's Bf 109 not ME. ME was an incorrect term used by the allies because it was built by Messerschmitt. The true name was Bf 109.

I would love to have my own B-17

1 RespuestaI sexually Identify as a Supermarine Spitfire. Ever since I was a boy I dreamed of soaring over England dropping hot sticky loads on disgusting Krauts. People say to me that a person being a WWII fighter plane is Impossible and I'm -blam!-ing retarded but I don't care, I'm beautiful. I'm having a plastic surgeon install Browning .303 machine guns, a Rolls-Royce Merlin 45 engine and a lightweight monocoque chassis on my body. From now on I want you guys to call me "Spitfire MH434" and respect my right to kill Germans. If you can't accept me you're a planephobe and need to check your vehicle privilege. Thank you for being so understanding.

If you have ANY respect for history your choice is simple. Spitfire

ME109g is a beautiful thing. I'd love to have it - but the old bombers would be for me. A Lancaster or Mitchell, HE111 or JU88.

1 RespuestaP-51D or a P-38 Lightning

Spitfire
Cuz England
If you could, that'd make you Canada's military.

Even though the hellcat handed it's ass to it, I'd take a corsair. Those were beautiful planes.

2 RespuestasSpitfire, looks the best (in my opinion), fast, and the most famous ww2 plane (in Europe at least)
-
The Spitfire, just because it is so damn cool. Big guns too.

2 RespuestasYou could just join the U.S air force if you wanted to fly a ww2 plane.
