There's these people in the gaming community called Achievement Hunters. They LOVE earning achievements and will buy dlc for games just to keep that 100% and add more to their gamer score. If you're doing paid DLC or even simple free dlc along with paid content. It should be obvious to add more achievements. This will bring back a decent size of the community back to buy your DLC.
Respawn did this perfectly with Titanfall. After every major update and DLC drop, they added a good amount of achievements to keep people playing and coming back to finish the new ones.
343i is a good example of a dev that has failed at this. How many major updates have come to Halo 5? We're just now getting some new achievements with Score attack (a feature that should've been there day one i might add) and it only adds a few achievements that could be completed in 2 runs with the right team.
Bungie is another dev that i would say hasn't really failed at this because they did a few achievements throughout their dlc drops but not enough. Simply complete the missions and beat the raid. Why didn't you add crucible ones or max out every subclass when the new three were added? Or clear all strikes in the game, complete a total of 100+ bounties, reach rank 3 in IB, get a flawless in ToO. There was so much they could have done but, were too lazy to do.
From Software failed as well. No dlc drops have added any new achievements to any Dark Souls game from 1-3. Even Scholar or the First Sin which was a definitive edition essentially, only featured the same achievements from the orginal release of DS2.
Developers need to recognize that achievement hunters are there and adding a little something to each content update would bring people back and getting you a larger profit.

2 RespuestasEditado por SirBigWater: 6/19/2016 4:52:06 PMI guess there are gamers who do whine about insignificant things about a game. Wow. What a useless rant
-
1 Respuestabut all halo 5 dlc is free gg
-
But does it really contribute to the game? I don't need some predetermined point system to tell me what I achieve in my games tbh.
-
The only games I'm concerned about 100% them is the Halo series. I have all achievements in halo 3, ODST, reach, 4 and 5. I'm 18 away in Halo MCC and like 2 away on Spartan assault Halo 2 PC isn't possible anymore

4 RespuestasWho cares?
-
5 Respuestas
Why didn't they add Crucible ones?
Because they knew dealing with broken servers, lag, broken balance, and constant whiners is achievement enough.

4 RespuestasEditado por HeadHunter: 6/18/2016 10:12:27 AMYeah 343i, why are you so stupid? Why didnt you add achievement in all the awesome free dlc youve been adding non stop since launch. Ill never play halo again.
Correct me if im wrong, but games have a limit to the amount of gamer points they can give through achievements.
3 RespuestasAchievements and trophy are pointless. They offer nothing to the game and the fact you want developers to spend more time on them is idiotic
-
2 RespuestasId like to see you put together a team and make a game, profiting millions of dollars off a game. I personally think bungie did great work. There are no other games like this out there, besides halo sorta.
-
1 RespuestaI don't play for virtual trophies or rewards, I play for the sheer fun. If i find a game was fun then I'll go back to it constantly.
-
If 343 brought back some fun multiplayer achievements, I think it would be better
-
There's thing called. Achievements don't mean squat.
-
I'd agree with the FromSoft one. There was literally only 6 achievements for The Old Huntards. Still worth getting though. It's got the best weapons.
-
8 RespuestasFromSoft added trophies to Bloodborne for the DLC... Besides, devs fail because they don't add trophies? That's stupid.
-
1 RespuestaEven Cod adds trophies/achievements to their DLC.
-
8 RespuestasAchievements are retarded. If there was a way to disable them, I would do.
-
Whereas the comment, "Some devs are so stupid...", is debatably apt, the phrase, "Most ‘gamers’ are utter fucking morons.", is perfectly fitting for today's industry.
-
1 RespuestaCry about it jesus!
-
4 RespuestasHalo mcc has like 600 achievements for a total gamers core of 6000. I think 343 did all rite there, but I agree with you, all devs need to up the anti

Maybe some devs know that it isn't worth their precious Time

Trion is also guilty of not adding more for their annual DLC for Defiance. They said that microsoft has this policy where they can add so many achievements per DLC/year or some shit. They haven't added any more since 2014. I don't care about achievements myself. I just happened to get all of DS3's by 100%ing the game. I still don't even have flawless raider and a couple more. Not worth my time joining a clan and playing a strike with them for a stupid achievement.

1 RespuestaTitanfall did enough with the Gen 10 requirements. That pull challenge (hit airborne pilot with railgun) yhea that will keep you at gen 5 for a while That titanfall drop challenge? Yhea they did fine 343 did fine too with all the gear and easy to aquire reqs I do remember that it was the only game I 100%

Honestly I hate DLC achievements. If you buy the base game and don't buy the DLC they just sit there mocking you like. Ha! You didn't actually beat the game but in reality I did.

Actually, we DO NOT like DLC trophies, specially from shit games like Destiny, COD, etc.
