I watched the trailer to Mr. Kojima's upcoming "Death Stranding" game, and I was inspired by it to make something weird myself.
The game's title would be Strange Weather, and it would be a third-person adventure game. It takes place on Earth after a certain version of the Rapture happens, taking every "good" human from the Earth, leaving out all of the "bad" and one man named Arthur Eens. Now man doesn't rule the world anymore, and instead human-like androids of pale skin, bald heads, eyes within their eyes, and black high-collared jackets who've rebuilt civilization into a gothic-cyberpunk dystopia running on biochemical technology instead of electronic technology surrounded by wilderness untouched by man. These androids feed off of the dreams of humans to live, and do so by producing human infants from organic machines made of female human uteruses and ovaries harvested from women left out of the Rapture and killed by the androids, and fueled by replicated male human sperm that originated from men who met the same fate as the women; the androids have basically made human adults nearly extinct with the exception of the game's protagonist. As the baby's dreams are fed off of by the Dreamcatchers, or the androids, they begin to transform into disfigured monsters that roam the land to eat anything that moves. The Dreamcatchers are governed by the "all-seeing" Chevron, their leading android figure who senses all dreams and, with Dreamcatcher technology, can conjure anything imagined into reality.
So now back to Arthur Eens; he awakens as the only human adult left on the Earth from some sort of coma years after the Rapture passes, and he remembers nothing from his past except his infant son, whom he saw get taken away from Dreamcatchers, but believes he is still alive. So he embarks on a journey across the dystopian world to find his son and unravel his past to figure out why he wasn't taken by the Rapture, being hunted by Dreamcatchers because he's basically a mega powerhouse of dreams according to the Chevron. Also, the Rapture made the skies of Earth permanently stormy, and random objects constantly rain from the sky, hence the title of the game, Strange Weather.
The gameplay, as told before, is third-person, and the environments will constantly change from reality to dreamscapes, fighting Dreamcatchers, Harvested ((dreamless babies)), dangerous animals, and the elements of nature with his primitive weapon ((possibly a gun)) in reality while fighting strange and horrifying apparitions of his past, the present, and the future with weapons conjured by his own imagination in his dreams. There may also be some Heavy Rain-like investigation scenarios in it, and some platforming here and there.
So, do you find this idea interesting?
