Ban death

Yes, couldn't agree with you more. But ban guns as well.
-
The man reason for the Second Amendment was added is to give us a fighting chance if are government goes out of control.
-
Indeed, but that was at a time when all you would have faced is a volley of Flintlocks - I'm not sure how relevant the 2nd Amendment is today against Tanks, Nuclear Weapons, Laser Guided Drone Airstrikes and all the other weapons of war the US Government has at its disposal.

If they happen to ban guns by some chance, a revolution will happen. Yeah some will turn theirs in willingly, but majority will fight back. Yeah, im sure a few military and other officials will fire on U.S citizens but a lot will not obey that order if it is given.

No one is suggesting that it should be done overnight - it needs to be done in stages - banning various categories of weapon, staring with the most lethal and unnecessary (Submachine Guns and Assault Rifle) and then over time working down to hand guns. The hand guns would be the most difficult stage - but even that can be staggered - banning certain calibers of weapon (does anyone REALLY need a Magnum .44 for 'self defence'?).
-
Now this is interesting. Did you know that the second amendment is the only right that some idiots (sorry, can't call them anything else) want to revoke? Now what if we applied that to our other rights (namely our first ten amendments). Would it be ok to revoke the first amendment? What about the 8th? How would that make you feel?
Or are you just spouting out what the media tells you?

What's unnecessary about sporting rifles?
-
That's the great thing, you don't get the authority to make some illegal because you don't happen to like or get it. Hence tobacco, firearms, alcohol, etc.
-
Tobacco and alcohol are both heavily regulated - guns need to be too.
-
The reason why guns aren't heavily regulated is because the Government already made so many gun laws, but they aren't even enforcing them.
-
heavily regulated
I didn't know walking into a convenient store and buying a 6-pack and a carton was considered "heavily regulated" with a majority of the time the cashier not even asking to see ID.
-
Editado por Cerberus64: 6/15/2016 1:47:28 PMAlcohol is regulated with regard to who can make it, who can sell it, who can buy it and what you can or can't do once you've consumed it like not driving a motor vehicle or räping a young girl behind a dumpster! And if a cashier is selling alcohol without checking ID then they should be prosecuted.

Editado por ChaoticPhenomena: 6/15/2016 1:54:21 PMAgain with the regulations. It's quite simple to manufacture alcohol. All it requires is a special license that cost around $100,000. Hell, some backwoods redneck on a tv show bought a license because he doesn't want to go to jail and if he can do it, a four year old can. And cashiers do get charged with a criminal act ,but they don't care because 90% of them are Indian immigrants. Our jail system is better than the life he was accustomed to back home.
-
Editado por Cerberus64: 6/15/2016 1:56:36 PMYes, life is regulation - YOU ARE NOT FREE TO DO WHATEVER YOU WANT! - with citizenry comes responsibility. And I don't know many (any) 4-year-olds who and stump up $100,000 - do you?
-
You're confusing regulation with greed. All the government wants is money , they couldn't give two shits what you do after you give them the money. It's the same principle with guns. Gun manufacturers pay for their right to produce and distribute firearms. It actually constitutes a large portion of zoning taxing percentage and employs people. The government isn't going to wipe away an industry because a few people die from it. If they had that train of thought, cigarette and alcohol companies would have long been gone.
-
Firearms are already heavily regulated probably more than both tobacco and alcohol. In the Orlando terrorist attack, the shooter was interviewed by the FBI and co-workers heard him making several remarks about gays and isis. If the people in charge of protection don't do their jobs for whatever reason, why shouldn't any American have the right to defend his or her life?
