The highest skill piece of equipment in the game on one of highest skill classes that's what they nerf. Gunslinger has no movement skill so you rely entirely on equipment ten percent doesn't seem like much but its 1 or 2 additional shots dependent on the weapon your using. That's a huge nerf especially if you ran a with a hand cannon.
edit 1 - wow more people care about this than i thought, woke up to 60 replies.
edit 2 - After playing the patch I still think it's annoying that they nerved damage, because it limits the effectiveness of throwing knives with weapons like scouts and auto rifles, but overall it's definitely not that bad. Also, anyone else notice that the hit registration feels a lot better? Like there is less lag between when you hit them with the throwing knife and when they die.

13 RespuestasHonestly the throwing knife nerf doesn't matter....it's still a 1 hit after a Mida headshot. Throwing knife should never have 1 hit. Fyi I main golden gun and can pretty much guarantee I hav way more throwing knife kills than anyone posting in this thread. Only thing about the update that is absurd is the double trip mine nerf.

Lookin for 1 to farm grasp of malok. Must be hunter with celestial nighthawk armor piece. Add blaccoutdadon
-
6 Respuestas10 percent bro not a big deal honestly
-
2 RespuestasI guess i'm the only one that never uses burn on knife throws. If anyone thinks it still one shots without burn, you are very mistaken
-
2 RespuestasEditado por th0rg0d: 6/14/2016 2:40:15 AMI don't agree with the nerf, but in all honesty, this won't affect the better knife throwers. Prime your target first, or use it to set up a bodyshot with your primary.
-
2 RespuestasThe problem I have is that it's been nerfed because it has the potential to one shot kill lower armour targets, when both other classes have had (and still do) a one hit kill melee option since launch, that requires no additional skill other than running up to your opponent!
-
1 Respuesta
most skilled class
Why does every hunter main have to blow smoke up their own ass with this? If this is so true, why do we see so many in the crucible and see so few defenders?
-
As much as I don't get why the nerfs to throwing knife and tripmine, I feel like they just made muh gunslinger stronger. I avoid using it in pve but now im excited to try it out.
-
Don't know if you noticed, but knife doesn't count as a Solar Kill. I mean, come on, really?!?!
-
4 RespuestasSkill? Those things practically curve around walls.
-
2 RespuestasSo it couldn't kill low level guardians in one head shot. Throwing Knives now increase super energy for golden gun upon kill. That's cool.😎
-
-
Drops the precision damage to 145, still more damage than any melee (besides shoulder charge) and range.
-
1 RespuestaIt won't alter the best strat, one headshot followed by one knife. Only scrubs use incindiary anyway.
-
1 RespuestaDon't worry bout it bro. You can compensate with all that skill you have
-
2 RespuestasLol it's still going to finish a kill or start one, that's how abilities are intended. It's 10%, git gud fellow hunters.
-
1 RespuestaSeriously, they're saying its one shorting "low armor guardians," do these guardians have zero armor. It's always taken the incendiary precision plus one other shot to kill. And where did the idea to nerf it come from, people have always only ever talked about a possible buff.
-
1 RespuestaYou literally just have to shoot one round in to someone then throw a knife to kill. It's hardly a catastrophe
-
4 RespuestasWhat do you mean you're done?
-
1 RespuestaLol. Highest Skill? The magnetism and projectile pull is actually insane! Try playing something like Overwatch and realize 80% of weapons are throwing knoves with very little aim assist......
-
9 RespuestasYeah they said throwing knives irritated people Me: Damn right, it should be a one shot kill to the head with incendiary blade Bungie: So we're lowering the damage on them Me: ARE YOU F**KING KIDDING ME?!?!?!
Idk maybe I'm crazy but I think they could have used a slight buff if anything
8 RespuestasEditado por SweetZombieJesus: 6/14/2016 12:19:06 AMCome on man! They were totally OP and abused by most Gunslingers. They've needed a nerf since day 1. Good riddance... What pisses me off is Bungo still haven't extended the range of the Warlock melee. That is underpowered and needs a buff. -blam!-ing bungie.
wait... what?
5 RespuestasEditado por PopsAutismo: 6/14/2016 3:13:42 AMThe first perk now reduces GG cooldown on kills. I think it's alright
-
3 Respuestas"Highest skill piece of equipment" That's debatable, but they definitely didn't need a nerf. I barely got killed by them in PvP as it is.
-
17 RespuestasThrowing knives took skill? I'll crack the jokes bro
-
2 RespuestasIf your the type of person who used throwing knife after placing a couple shots on an enemy this nerf doesn't effect you. It doesn't OHK anymore and let's admit it, he aim assist/hit box for throwing knives is retarded big. The trip mines nerf to dmg though...not sure wtf that's all about.
