Just to start off I would like to say that by no means am I saying to bring back the Thorn, but I've been seeing a lot of people posting about how exotics got ruined in Yr 2 and I completely agree. If you are a Yr 1 guardian you remember how towards the end of Yr 1 Iron Banner had become "Game of Thorns" because it was just so over-powering, but remember also how hard it was to get the Thorn compared to some exotics nowadays? You were lucky enough just to get the quest to become available to you by random RNG!!! And then you were put through some of the most excruciating tasks in the crucible, and to top it off made a Strike so challenging that you had to recruit two of your best pals just to get through it? Ohhhhhh but was it sweet once you had accomplished one of the toughest quest lines in the game to this day, to get one of the most loved/hated OP weapon (before it got nerfed to oblivion) the game had to offer. It actually felt like a trophy to me, one of which I still carry around with me till this day, the only other weapon that could give the notorious Gjallarhorn a run for its money in terms of popularity. In the end all I'm trying to say is: Make exotics great again Bungie. There's always going to be people bit%%ing and moaning about the game mechanics because they aren't winning or the game isn't bending to their will like they want it to, but there's sometimes where you guys gotta lay the Hammer of Sol down and say this is what we came up with and this is how it's gonna be, similar to how you guys decided not to nerf the warlock's firebolt grenades... Edit- Can you imagine also if they had put a timer on that strike similar to Black Spindle/Lost to Light mission O.o
