Who is crotas mother....or was he adopted?

The Hive are no longer born the way they used to be. They are now spawned from the larvae of worms given to them by the Deep. Oryx brought up one of those larvae as his own to become Crota. Oryx then cut another larvae in half which survived and became Ir Halak and Ir Anuk.

I actually remember on a strike (sunless cell I believe) there's a talking part and I think it mentions either Oryx or Ala'Kul ( didn't spell it right) had a witch they loved and killed a whole platoon of thrall to pledge love. So what every the situation I'm sure it was brutal lol
