Bungie needs to seriously consider buffing hand cannons as they are one of the coolest and most unique weapon classes in the game, but they have been nerfed to the point that I can't justify using them anymore. Also I hardly see them in the crucible either. So comment your ideas for a way to balance hand cannons in the meta.

Well I revoke my complaint as Bungie released the hotfix that added accuracy and reduced damage dropoff. So I am loving hand cannons again.

I feel Hand Cannons are fine right now - I used one (FWC Vanity) to solo PoE Challenge a couple of times (same HC I use in the Raid on my Warlock) and I went Flawless using one (Her Revenge) last week etc. So they can certainly handle end-game activities. They can one-shot almost all trash mobs in PvE, and have an amazing TTK in PvP too - just make sure you have the range stat as high as possible to reduce 'Phantom' rounds and the (rather brutal) damage falloff. Great damage, great accuracy and they look awesome as well - what more do you want? :)

Give some accuracy back and I would use them more. They are fun when they hit. Problem is that in the range they are good other weapons are often better.

For pve and pvp they just barely lose to other weapons. Even with a god roll it's hard to find a reason to use them. Pve does seriously need to be looked at.

My judith-D works fine. If I run into a hawkmoon user I just switch to the first curse.

Their balanced now. Kinda bs that thorn can no longer 2 tap anybody but the first curse can any low armor builds, hawkmoon can do it often enough to anybody and legendaries can be perked to one shot... Thron needs either higher precision damage or have its ticks brought back in line with other d.o.t. effects. Shit... It shoots poisonous thorns for ammo... Seriously? Weaker than most legendaries? Wtf bungie? Wt actual F?
