"I dunno about you. But I'm gonna go get some lunch."

"Mind if I join you?" He asks, following her.
-
"Go right ahead." She cracks a smile, which she had never done so far. An old man was walking back behind a counter, dusting his dirty apron. He was fat, bald and had a kind look to his worn face. "Light, my girl! Thanks so much for getting us out of trouble again..." She walks up to the counter. "Anything for you, Lars, as long as you keep the amazing food coming!" She giggles slightly. "Here, let me cook something for ya, on the house!"
-
He walks up next to her. "So what do you usually get?" He asks. He was a little confused as he didn't really know what that laugh meant.
-
"Little light here always gets herself some got dogs. She loves 'em." The old nan chuckles. "What'll it be for ya, sonnie?"
-
"I'll take the same as her." He says.
-
"Comin' right up!" Light smiles, then turns back to go take a seat.
-
He follows her, sitting near her, but giving her space. "So... You eat here often?"
-
"Every time I get shore leave. This place isn't much, but it was my home when I had none."
-
"That's nice... We all need a place to call home..." He says with a warm smile. "So who do you work for anyways?"
-
"Triumvirate. I'm a specialized agent."
-
His eyes widen... This was an agent of his cousin? "Oh... I... Wow... I was thinking about signing up. To be employed there."
-
"well then, you're in luck. We hire just about anyone."
-
"Ah... The expendable ones." He says with a smile.
-
She raises an eyebrow. "The who?"
-
"Nevermind..." He says, shaking his head. "So... What do random applicants like me get to do?"
-
"I don't exactly know the whole works of it. But what I'm guwssing you can do is specify where you would want to work."
-
"Ah... Alright.." He says. "So... Do you like working for... Them?"
-
"The pay is nice. Plus they give me targets I can be at peace with killing."
-
"That's nice, knowing you're putting down the worst of the worst.." He says.
-
"Yep." The fat man soon arrives with their hot dogs, two for each. "Here you go, younglins. On the house." "Thank you, Lars." She smiles at him, taking hers.
-
He had had his money ready to pay in thanks for her saving him, but... On the house was good. He smiles and thanks Lars. He takes a bite, swallowing then speaking. "Well... Thank you, Light.... For saving me. I probably wouldn't have made it without you."
-
She chuckles. "No problem."
-
"And if there's anyway I can repay you, anything, let me know." He says.
-
"There's no need for repaying." She smiles, eating her hot dogs.
-
He takes another couple of bites. "This is pretty good." He says with a smile.
