I'm not sure IF this was ever found by anyone, but if so, at least I can share something I found VERY interesting with others that may not know either. Not quite Lore but interesting.
I was just googling around and came across this . Intrigued and curious, I clicked on it.

What was interesting on this page was this:
the Prime Minister himself in order to get his place, and finally against his benefactor Rasputin. Khvostov and Iliodor concocted a plan to kill Rasputin. Khvostov had come to the conclusion that Rasputin was a German spy or agent.[3] Evidence that Rasputin actually worked for the Germans is flimsy at best.[4] In his efforts to plot against Rasputin (and not becoming Prime Minister) Khvostov had to resign.[5]
In brief: Bungie used real life Russian history for names of a gun & warmind. This is the real life story of Khvostov & Rasputin I found it interesting & an exciting find (at least to me) I thought I would share it

He was once the #1 champion in drinking vodka upside, off a cliff, with a bear. He was a avenging the loss of his friend Calcutta.
-
Khvostov went around Moscow in the middle of winter wearing nothing but a pink tutu.

1 RespuestaEditado por NerdFame: 6/11/2016 11:56:05 PMIf some of these theories I read are correct about Rasputin and Siva then that might have been an exotic Khvostov in the trailer and on the teaser that skarrow noticed.

4 RespuestasRasputin went out like a freggin champ, that guy was hard to kill, survived several attempts on his life...
-
4 RespuestasMight inspire the quest for getting the weapon
-
There will probably be a quest to update the Khvostov through which we will find out how it ended up where we found it which would be interesting
-
3 RespuestasCan't wait for the putin reference. I hoping that all three classes will get a super that lets you ride a bear and mual people!

8 RespuestasKhvostov was also a virulent anti-semite. It's not at all relevant to the story of Destiny, I just find it interesting that Bungie would choose to name a gun after a fairly lesser-known figure in Russian history who really hated Jews. I can guarantee there are some SJWs on Tumblr who would have a field day with this and find all sorts of stuff in the game that is supposedly-but-not-actually anti-semitic.

8 RespuestasEditado por NinjaMatic: 6/11/2016 5:15:09 AMBungie has a history of doing things like this. For example, Charlemagne was the name they gave to the war mind of Mars. Charlemagne's sword, Joyeuse, was associated with two other swords named Durand and Cortana... draw your conclusions. They love this stuff... if it bears fruit that would be epic Joyeuse was allegedly made from the spear of DESTINY. The spear that Pontius Pilate pierced Jesus with... the same man who became the eternal warior... just saying.

3 RespuestasIt's weird, this was an obvious connection for me cause I've known who the real Rasputin is for years (im kind of a history nerd).

2 RespuestasKeep looking into Rasputin he's gotta be one of the more interesting people in history as far as influencing a government without any real qualifications or high ranking status. He was just a creep who for whatever reason had a large deal of respect from the czar

1 RespuestaI'm replying to show this to my gf who's a huge history nerd.

Editado por an engram full of bees: 6/12/2016 2:33:07 PMDidn't actually know that lol
I do know the Tarantella was named after an old Italian folk belief. Getting a wolf spider bite would supposedly result in Tarantism (uncontrollable and hysterical dancing). The Tarantella is a type of dance that was made to resemble this.

I've been waiting to post that fun fact for so long 😂
Editado por PeytonicMaster: 6/12/2016 10:38:10 AMKhvostov was putin

2 Respuestashe was a lazy bastard that just layed around in random spots only to happen across him when you least likely expected it, it was the same with his gun.
-
1 RespuestaBungie names a lot of stuff in this game after things that they heard in history class.
-
5 RespuestasLyudmila is named after one of the greatest snipers of all time; a soviet sniper from WWII. She was also a woman.

1 RespuestaEditado por ambient-Isotopy: 6/11/2016 6:55:52 AMThink you're reading too far into it. Rasputin was a person (to some) but khvostov just means 'what's up'/'what's going on'/'hey'
-
2 RespuestasI always figured it was a nod to the AK-47 (also known as the Kalashnikov) and they just chose another historical Russian figure to name their assault weapon after in that same tradition, but I didn't know he had ties to Rasputin. Nice find!

Hr was also executed by firing squad

Editado por Stea1th Vixen: 6/11/2016 2:50:53 AMThanks for the input everyone. I especially love the thought behind Rasputin being part of a new quest line for Khvostov, knowing the real story ;)
