The move is smart from a business standpoint. But, being a 17, trying to find a first job with no resume and being raised with two siblings by a single mom fighting a deadly disease while trying to put food on the table makes it very tough to afford a newer console. I like the move, but I know I'll be affected by it.
what I say about me is true, but i know the current gen "i think I'm better than everyone" people will troll so yeah.
I applaud you!

Sell your console and take care of your family.

Yeah sounds like you have bigger problems than being able to afford gaming my friend. You should get a job to support your mom and siblings. Unfortunately that's the current state of America. People have to work more for less and put education aside.

My brother and I built a fence and put our money together to buy a PS4 when it came out. We also bought a separate controller, Battlefield 4, and PS plus for a month. It's not too hard to go looking for odd jobs and putting together some cash.

Go start a GoFundMe page. You've clearly got a decent sob story, so I think you'd be able get a few hundred dollars from other people who feel bad for you.

Not a sob story, but glad to see your the typical person that I refered to c:

That is a legitimate way to raise the money, people do it all the time... No need to get upset.
-
I know, my mom doesn't like to draw attention to the whole ordeal, it stresses her, which I fully understand.
-
Fair enough.
-
it's sad that you probably wont be able to enjoy the DLC but it is the right move for the game.

Yeah, imma do my best to get money to afford it, but I can't say I hate the move just because I can't play it
