I might have to quit Destiny because of this
And it's not because I'm salty or angry or anything.
It's simply that I can't afford an Xbox 1 on the current income that I have. I got my 360 as a gift from a friend who switched to purely PC gaming. I imagine that, even if by some miracle, the same thing happened again (me getting an Xbox 1 later on down the line), it'll be obsolete by that time anyway and Bungie will be moving on to whatever the newest console is.
I simply can't afford to keep up if this is how things are going to be.
I'm at least going to try and get all of the subclasses done for all of my characters. Hell, I'm already almost done with Sunbreaker. All that's left is Defender.
I think once I get that done, I'll ween off of Destiny until I'm just not playing anymore.
I hope you guys have fun with the next DLC. It honestly looks like a lot of fun. Wish I could stay along for the ride.

Check ebay and amazon. Also gamestop will take your 360 in trade and should give you "extra" toward an XboxOne. You can get a refurbished XboxOne relatively cheap

Best buy is pretty easy to get credit at. You could pay 20 a month and probably still avoid interest.

I would do side jobs to get more income. Find ways to make money (legally, not illegally). Also, if you cannot afford your gaming hobby, then you need to find something else to do. I'm not being mean. Just shooting straight.

You can take your time. I've been told any progress made on 360 will carry over to the new generation console. I'm aware of the August due date but I was told progress will transfer over but the thing is progress on the current console won't reverse.

If you're gonna make the upgrade, do it for games. Don't do it for Destiny, it's not worth it. However there are a lot of amazing games and upgrading for one is dumb.

Damn dude I'm sorry about your situation but if it helps know that your characters will in fact carry over to the next console as long as it is the same brand. Because all your data is linked to account not saved in the console. So whenever you manage to get a hold of a new console know you can always catch right back up. I know plenty of people who have started fresh and has caught up with the rest of the flock. I wish the best of luck to you! :)
