The game cube wasn't really a hit. So according to a company like Nintendo it's a more a less a failed system. The Wii is Nintendo would call a success.

Gamecube was a successful mainstream console, so I imagine most people remember it. You should ask people about the Jaguar and Virtual Boy.

Ask them who crash bandicut is. Or what did the original starfox ships look like. No Google. Oh want to really get them ask them what a floppy disk and dial up Internet is.
