Overwatch misses loot. It misses something to encourage you to continue playing. I really like the game, but can't seem to play more than 4 games at a given time.
The loot packs are meeeeeeeehhhhhhh!
The pvp is definitely more fun than destiny, but the incentive to continue playing is just not there. How do you think blizzard will solve this?

Fun should be the only incentive to play any game. If you're really into loot games that's far enough, but not every game needs loot to have longevity. Skins are enough for me personally.
-
1 RespuestaHaving fun.
-
1 RespuestaIf fun isn't incentive enough to play, then don't play.

3 RespuestasI agree, the loot packs are waaaaaay underwhelming. Nothing but Voice Lines and Sprays.
-
Bye adding more characters to urge you to keep playing
-
Good times with friends is my incentive to keep playing. If we get bored, we take a break and play some 3's on WoW.

A ranking system. Thats its.

Leveling is easy. You get around 2000 XP for literally DOING NOTHING in a match. Add on additional points for actually playing decently and... It only takes 8 matches to level up once you're past the XP cap level (23) 8 games, maybe around an hour or so of your time.

8 RespuestasOverwatch doesn't need loot, has the fun factor. Destiny uses psychological manipulation, to keep you hooked on the game. You're playing for a loot drop, that releases feel good receptors in the brain called dopamine. Destiny plays you, not the other way around, realise why you're addicted to loot games.

I have too many games involving loot as it is, I don't want to have to constantly play games just to keep up, I like the fact that I could put down Overwatch and not play for months (not that I will any time soon), and come back and the only thing I would be missing, is my own ability to use my thumbs.

More modes and new characters. You really shouldn't be playing for loot boxes, cause those are pretty random. Hopefully they add like funds you get post game that you can save to unlock skins and stuff.

2 RespuestasWhy should i need an incentive to play other then to have fun? Gamers these days need to many damn rewards like damn. Having fun is the only incentive that should ever be needed to play a game instead of some virtual reward to satisfy your virtual need. Having fun though can improve your overall mood though.

My incentive is perhaps... the best pvp we've seen since... I don't even remember. If hyper-realism is your thing sure, it might not be your thing. But it's actually tight and responsive. And as close to balanced as I want, not being a hardcore comp person. Re:Lootcrates there are totally a couple dope skins I want. I refuse to purchase goddamn lootcrates so.... Also, all the unlocks are friggin cosmetic. No p2w. P2Swag :D
-
Same here. In fact I've started playing titanfall(again) and r6 in between.
-
You act like its broken? It's anything but broken. It isn't a loot game, and I'm glad because in the end, loot games always feel more like a second job then a game to have fun in. Overwatch keeps me playing because it's fun to play.
-
It's not a loot game. My favorite part about it. The skins are unique and cool enough to make you play a new character if you get one
-
Fun isn't incentive to keep playing? You must of had a boring childhood.
-
Friends and playing with them are what keep me going...
ahh the good times of stacking bastion
-
I see nothing that needs solving. You don't really need incentive if you are enjoying your time. Cosmetics are fine. I hope they never add loot that affects gameplay in any way.

Play with friends

3 RespuestasI've never found loot as a good system to keep me playing a game. I much prefer a game to be just fun for me to keep playing. All loot does is make the game a grind for gear for the purpose of grinding for more gear. That's not fun. And yippie if the number that pops above a guys head is a 7 instead of a 5. How does that make a game fun? If anything it makes it boring because then the game becomes ez mode. In pvp it just completely ruins the game completely because instead of winning being based off any sort of skill it becomes who has no life and can pack in the most hours of grinding in each day. Yeah -blam!- that, a loot system would completely ruin Overwatch. If a game isn't fun for you just move on.

2 RespuestasI play to have fun. Thats my incentive
-
2 RespuestasThey will solve it by not catering to destiny players?

Editado por TreeMan_X: 6/9/2016 3:11:47 PMI really don't think there is much they can do besides cosmetics, it's a multiplayer only game lol.
