Why do people hold grudges over the INTERNET?! Unless you actually know the person in real life, then it's stupid and pointless.
I've seen people hold grudges over pointless things, even things that they put upon themselves (example: someone says that another person got them banned, when it was them who broke the Code of Conduct).
What do y'all think? Stupid to hold a grudge, or understandable and reasonable? Comment away, Offtopic!

Don't you get mad at Mad Max over pointless shit?

4 RespuestasHolding grudges in general isn't a very healthy way of living. It's perfectly reasonable to remove someone from your life if necessary, but continuing to "hate" the person does nothing but weigh down your own emotional state. And it punishes you far more than them. However it's important to remember that someone not forgiving you for your actions isn't the same as holding a grudge.

Editado por joibasta: 6/9/2016 1:01:00 AMYeah I know what you mean. Like why does my ex hold a grudge at me for not spending enough time with her when I'm working 5-6 days a week so I can go see her?

1 RespuestaBecause some people, unfortunately, haven't learned the cold, hard truth of growing up.

Yes, it's dumb to hold Internet grudges, or even get upset about something on the Internet to begin with.

Not liking someone isn't the same as holding a grudge.

5 RespuestasEditado por Sølaris: 6/7/2016 1:04:46 PMYou've made how many Rants by now?. This does not create "awareness" to a very known and endless problem, it creates a hive for Trolls to loiter for the exact problem you're trying to make aware off. You get a score of 2 because this post seems to be created on emotion not passion.

Editado por Masque of Night: 6/7/2016 10:14:58 PMGenerally speaking, it's easy to resort to anger, it's easy to harbor hatred, it's easy to lust after revenge even in the most petty of ways and over the most simple of things. These are very primal emotions and instincts, so it's easy to fall back on them and make use of them. Even if it's not necessarily the wisest route, it's natural to follow the path of least resistance. Plus if one doesn't really have much going on in their personal life, holding a grudge against someone can be a quick way of carving meaning and purpose out of a small situation. I try to avoid creating negative relationships between myself and others, because I ordinarily don't enjoy conflict, and tend to see it as a waste of time and energy. But not everyone shares that opinion, and I understand that. I also can see how it would be within the realm of reason to hold a vendetta against a particular person or organization, but only in very extreme circumstances. Anyway, i'm rambling a bit. Hopefully there's something of meaning in that mess.

People are dumb

I don't know. Some people on here are dicks. I just ignore them.

People don't know any better these days I guess.

4 RespuestasWhy do people get mad on the Internet anyways? It's really pointless. Especially on a no-life place such as this.

1 RespuestaGrudge how? Everyone on the internet is nameless wall of text to me. I forget op's name typing this
-
1 RespuestaDepends on the reason and the person. Also, I see it as a distinction between disliking someone for a single specific event or for a trend of behavior. While holding a grudge isn't really a good thing in general, sometimes it's better than trusting that person again. Does that make sense?
