I have a theory about the ships that I mentioned in another thread but we couldn't get enough traction for a mod to see it. Here's the theory:
I got all the ships for all three factions within a month or so of TTK dropping. In the countless hours I've played since getting each ship, I've never seen another one. "Umm... that's because you already have them," you might be thinking. If that is the case, then their drop rate is not pure RNG. If there truly is a glitch (and with this many people not being able to get these ships, there must be), it is a result of an error in how RNG was altered for these ships. I think that the system (for some reason) thinks you guys already have the ships and is omitting them from the loot pool like it is for me.
But you might want to put this in "Help" as well.

The only thing, that bothers me then, is: Why are so many people reporting, that they got the ships up to rank 25, but afterwards, you won't get them? NM rank 103 at the moment, gave up on the new ship... Same with the new Vanguard ship and all my characters had around rank 5 with the Vanguard, when TTK dropped, by the way. And I have never seen anybody with the new crucible ships as well.....

The vanguard ship was only put into the loot table in the April update - although I've ranked up about 30 odd times since then, I have received ALL of the other vanguard ships (can't be any more as the entire crucible slot is now full) but not this one. I even have all 3 of the new Varik's ships

Yeah, I ranked up Vanguard significanly after the April update as well, but no ship... Rank was so low before, as each of my character is with one faction since December 2014.

That is a good theory! I really wish Bungie would say something about this already. Even if its just them saying they are looking into it, the need to let us know they are aware of this problem.

You are right bro, the truth is there is NO real RNG in the computer/digital world! What they did is use a algorithm that can generate a serial of numbers which their values spread averagely over a range instead which means it outputs are not unpredictable.
