Week 9: Still No F*cking Longbow Synthesis
The title pretty much sums up my feeling right now. I've been playing since the April update straight, opened about 30-35 Crucible packages throughout my characters. I play Crucible [i]every day[/i] to grind for these packages, and what do they reward me for the hours I wasted trying to obtain them? Spektar armor that maxes out at 330 Light or Year 2 Vendor weapons.
This is complete crap. Absolute crap. I waste my time, put up with all of the horrible connections and sweat-fests just to open a package that gives crappy rewards nearly every time. The only good Year 1 re-made weapons I've gotten are the Lord High Fixer (Third Eye, Rangefinder, Truesight and Hand Loaded) and the Zombie Apocalypse WF47 (Underdog, Crowd Control, Soft Ballistics and Rifled Barrel). I'm glad I got these but, in the grand scheme of things, they're no different than their Year 2 counterparts. A Lord High Fixer is like an Eyasluna with worse stability and reload speed, and a Zombocalypse is basically a Baron's Ambition with slightly better over-all stats.
This whole "one reward per package" kind of thing is really getting on my nerves. It's making me start to regret playing this game as much as I do, because there are loads of games out there right now that are more enjoyable, for more than one reason. I've gotten every Crucible ship from the packages as well as duplicates of duplicates of Spektar armor that I will never need or want.
I have a [i]very simple[/i] suggestion. Why not make it so that there are three options for rewards when you open a Crucible package? It would add more variety to the rewards you could obtain from them and would make playing Crucible actually worthwhile. As it is now, the Crucible-exclusive drops still don't drop enough. The weekly bounties are fine, but they often just give you Strange Coins that, while useful, are nothing to get excited over.
I no longer have that giddy feeling knowing that I could get a really awesome weapon-- maybe the one I've always wanted-- because it doesn't happen. It used to make me angry, but it's a normality now.
I don't know. Tell me what you guys think. I'm getting fed up with this stuff.

i ve opened already like 70 pakages and stil no longbow.only cloaks and spektar armour.

I feel your pain man, I just recently got my longbow a week ago. I freaking love it, it's not god roll but -blam!- I'm in love with everything about it except the ammo issue. Anyways keep trying, I heard a using a year 1 special weapon while grabbing the package might trick the game into thinking you [b]need[/b] a new special weapon. Sounds dumb but it doesn't hurt to try right?

3 weeks, 22 packages, 4 rapiers, and the rest armour. There should be at least some weapon specialization or something. I f***ing hate this game sometimes tbh...

I've finally gotten out of the mode of "grinding for that special snowflake". I've been playing for weeks with the hope of netting my "god roll" scout rifle. And I frankly don't care if it's Hung Jury, Last Extremity, Tuonela, Cocytus. I just want an Omolon scout with medium or high impact, that has the highlight enemies scope, firefly, hand-laid stock, and either one man army or triple tap. Unfortunately, it's evaded me until this point. Now I'm focused on bounty hunting, doing really tough solo missons (CE, Thalnok, Skolas, etc...) and ghost hunting. It's been a lot more fun recently when I'm not getting sweaty about loot hunting...

I am day-1 and I just opened my rank 6 crucible package on my main. Longbow with Shortgaze/Ambush, EotS, Snapshot/Skip rounds, and Hidden Hand. Keep chasing it Guardian! RNGesus bless!

For sure. I've gotten all the crucible weapons multiple times and every vanguard weapon multiple times but still no ldr😔

3 RespuestasI've been using the method of equipping a low light-level weapon in the slot for the type of weapon I want. 20 ish packages using this and it's about 75% effective. Try it out Results: Longbow Synthesis x3 (best one on my Titan) Zombie Apocalypse x2 Lord High Fixer x2 Two to the Morgue x1 The scout rifle x1 The rest were regular TTK weapons.

Just got my second. First one was about the 40th rank up and the second was at #60. That is account wide by the way. I agree the drop rates are stupid low!

I know how you feel man. I have gained 35 crucible levels since the April update trying to get a great Lord High Fixer. I have a decent one that I got at ranks 14 but haven't received one since. To be honest I'm not even that big of a crucible fan. LHF was my first legendary that I ever got so naturally I have wanted it since it because obsolete. 35 levels later and 1 LHF is a joke to me. Like you said its a waste of time and I'm Def getting burnt out. I would love it if they incorporated a system so that you could spec for certain drops. So in your case your case you could spec for sniper rifles and you would have a way greater chance at getting a sniper to drop.

I tend to agree that you have to grind, then you get the weapon and it may have crappy perks (my Lord High Fixer is garbage). Honestly though, other than nostalgia, these Y1 weapons brought forward aren't any big deal. Longbow is not really that much better than 1Kys, if at all ... though at least we do have more high impact options.
