I've been on PlayStation my entire life and still know that infected originated in Halo 2. Go on YouTube and watch the Halo 5 infection game mode to actually see what it would be like

Lol you've never played turned obviously it was a variant of gun game your goal was to kill the zombie with each weapon you cycled through to win if the zombie hit you he became human and you became the zombie not even close to infected. I never played the first modern warfare but I do know the "infected" call sign was available on mw2 after you were killed by an enemy Nuke you revived it while wearing it if you melee'd an enemy they became infected. But the actual game mode wasn't completed until modern warfare 3.
