After reading a "I got sniped; i blame aim assist" thread I started thinking about it. And came to the answer that he was right to be angry, but just about the wrong thing!
Destiny is not the only shooter to fall foul of this and I think the entire genre needs to be shaken up and maybe the Destiny franchise can lead the way?
A lone wolf running about willy nilly pot shoting people isn't a sniper!!!
Wind direction and speed, air pressure, range, light, temperature.............there's a long list of variables that need to be worked out, it's not as simple as point; click; dead. And that's before you consider that it's a snipe team of a few members.
My hope is in the future, games will have a trade off where for every sniper on your team you need at least one spotter, who can only equip light weapons and has to provide data for you to be able to fight effectively.
I know it's a dream that won't ever happen. But it would be great if it did :)

This is a game filled with space magic and it's the future, so why are shotguns worse than our current ones?
