Were they supposed to keep looking at the child 24/7?. You go to a zoo to look at the animals, the parent/parents could have looked at their phones or gorilla for just a few seconds and they child already hopped the wall.

Although there is some fault on the parents, that doesn't mean the kid should have died instead of the gorilla. Why should the kid die because of a parent's mistake?
-
3 RespuestasIt really isn't the parents fault. All parents should try to keep their children accounted fur at all times, but if you've ever had to look after children you know how quickly they can disappear for a few seconds. Walking, they lag behind a few steps, and they're gone. The zoo needs to have a barrier between all animals that actually ensures that they will not cross each other in any circumstance. The fact that this can even happen is beyond comprehension, and the keepers of the zoo need to be met with repercussions for such deplorable safety conditions.

Put a leash on it.

4 RespuestasA three year olds hand should be held at all times while in a public place like the zoo. Especially if that child expressed a desire to want to go into the gorilla pit. I have a toddler and know they must be watched at all times while at public place. There is no taking your eyes off that child unless said child hand is being held.

It is their fault
-
Please explain how it was my fault that there was a young human in my secured cage.
-
9 RespuestasI'm making a huge assumption here but I'd bet that most the people asking for the parents head aren't parents and probably don't respect their own parents. Its mainly based off my observations of threads in these forums.

Editado por Rust3dKing: 6/4/2016 1:35:25 AMpeople should put there phones down and enjoy the experience with the family. It pisses me off more than anything when people stare at a phone all god damn vacation.
-
Don't quite see how it has to be someone's "fault." It was a damned accident, shit happens sometimes.
-
Yes thats what a -blam!-ing parent does. Those parent should definetly be given a penalty for their complete idiotism and irresponsibility
-
8 RespuestasI get a feeling 95% of people bashing the parent in this situation don't have kids of their own.

1 RespuestaYes. It is the parents responsibility to keep an eye on their kids at just about all times. That's kinda what parenting entails
-
She wasn't near her child. She wasn't responsible. She wasn't right next to him. She had walked away. If her child is deliberately saying "I'm going in" as a parent you keep that child under you EYE OF SAURON until you've walked away from that cage. If she had, nothing would have happened.
-
No the parents were on their phone for over 45 minutes. That's how long they neglected to watch him. Might as well not even be there!
-
"Did the kid have the parents, or did the parents have the kid?" -Vit'Sumi That should answer your question. And if not, keep reading it until you do.

Parents were druggies the gorilla was going to save the child from that life ~SilverChariot~

The parent wasn't paying attention at all to her child if it's anyone's fault it's the parent's

3 RespuestasEditado por DarthKrampus: 6/2/2016 7:10:45 PMThe zoo actually has security film showing the mom was talking on her cellphone for 42 minutes. Not only that but the child said he was going passed the barrier, and the only thing the mom did was say "no you're not." Without even looking at the kid.
thats bad parenting In my book.
Lets put it this way. I went on a school field trip to the zoo once. One parent kept about 10 kids safe and together no problem. If the parents didnt make sure their one kid didnt fall over theres at least a problem there...
-
Or, you know, hold the child's -blam!-ing hand! It's a busy place and you should be holding your kid's hand if they're young any time you go out.
-
Why is this topic now here?
-
Because the parent should have been watching their child.
-
That wall must of been really lamentable. Either that or the three year old was ripped.
