Damn... a lot of hate mail for using Matador 64.
I don't understand. Even a lot of T-bagging with messages like "nice sniper shotgun noob" I just use my final round when it's the only round left and it kills them from pretty far... so what am I doing wrong? Seriously. This game brings out the worst in people over weapons and abilities.
Edit: thanks for all the responses and keeping the animosity down. Well, I gotta be honest. It definitely is the cheapest out of all the shotguns due to its range/impact/rate of fire. I won't stop using it regardless of all the hate mail I've been getting. I've always thought year 1 players should have a slight advantage over year 2 players, but that's just me.

Use whatever gun you want. Some comments on here talk like they are the custodians of etiquette (whatever the f u c k that is). As they are so self-involved, not only do they appoint themselves into that role, they feel it gives them the right to tell other people how to play the game also. Play the game you paid the same as everyone else for the way you want to play it. Use the weapons you earned as many times as you like. It's your game, they have theirs, god forbid if anyone tried to tell them how to play it! Game on, guardian!

You're using a weapon that SHOULD have been rendered irrelevant with the DLC (since rerollable weapons aren't obtainable anymore) because it gives you an advantage you wouldn't otherwise have. It's cheesy. You're "allowed" to use it but don't come and cry on forums about it. PS: I have a year one Felwinter's, Party Crasher and Matador in my vault. I'm just not enough of a douche to use them.

The range wasnt as good as you scrubs say it was) of a shotgun yet use a sniper as a BR/at CQC. Something with at least twice the range, stability, even damage. Makes sense.

12 RespuestasI think there would be a lot less complaining if when entering pvp all weapons reverted to the same exact thing. You would still retain individual weapon perks in pve content but upon entering pvp all shotguns would be the same, all scouts the same, etc. I'm not sure what we would do about exotics though. It would be tough to balance them with the regular weapons. Might need to put more thought into this idea. Wait! I've got it! How about we just play the game and quit crying. Problem solved.

5 RespuestasIt was considered a completely broken gun in year 1. The range was hysterical. It is pretty scrubby to use it. Specially since you are given a great year 2 shotgun (conspiracy theory) at the beginning of taken king. I get the impression people who use it don't know how to shotgun/melee and need the extra range for lack of finger speed. Might not be true. But I understand why people think it's scrubby.

Me and my friend use Thorn in salvage just for the amount of hate we get. That and the guns a beast.
