Vex are actually fighting a losing war of attrition on Mars against the cabal, but no one knows why they keep coming. Multiple Barons of Fallen Houses have been killed by us. Savathun and Xivu Arath are somewhere and I'm wondering if they will be able to revive Oryx since they were revived by him. The Queen did most of the damage to the wolves before we came including having the original kell and rising kells killed.

Based off the Grimoire and the current knowledge of the Vex, it mat not be a war of attrition, but perhaps it's some form of data collection for newer generation models. The Vex send in lower ranking fodder-bots and see how they pair up against the Cabal. After getting rekt by space rhinos, the Axis Minds then use the data they've collected and find counter measures to ensure that the next fight is almost guaranteed a victory. And, unlike the Guardians, the Cabal can be 'understood' by the Vex, making this losing war of attrition fishy overall.
-
I agree with that logic, but from what we know through Grimoire the Vex haven't changed there tactics at all. They just seem to keep throwing more bots to die and the idea attrition doesn't seem to fit with the Vex assuming there is an infinite number of them still. There fight with the cabal hasn't really been expanded upon to really know.
-
The only reason I can think of for them never changing that tactic is due to them defending the entry to the Black Garden, but even then the Vex should be able to outsmart the Cabal and lure them away or something.
-
The Vex can easily wipe out the Cabal of they choose to. The Vex only engage when necessary. The Cabal are no threat to them.
-
Not saying they can't, but they haven't done anything except suffer losses.
-
The Vex are a hive mind that exist outside time. They never attack us or the cabal. The Vex don't find either enough of a threat to warrant the energy.
-
Actually, the Vex are winning.

Read Grimoire Card in the Enemies category subcategory Vex and read the Grimoire for the Virgo Prohibition Vex models.

Hmm... I'll look into it.
