5 RespuestasI understand the dude was pretty messed up but I guess that's the toll war will take on some people. I still respect him and still see him as a hero just like every soldier that's deployed in combat. Knowing that people are out there putting their lives at risk for our country is something to be both proud of, and respectful to.

I met him at my graduation, went to the same school in Texas as him. He lived a couple houses down from me. He's a nice enough guy, and I'm trying to follow in his career footsteps. But would I say he was okay mentally? No of course not, nobody goes through BUDS, and that many deployments "Okay." He's a nice enough guy, but he embellishes, and so does every other ops guy in any branch. While I respect the hell out of him, and am going to pursue a career in operations. There are enough inconsistencies to make anyone doubt something. I know people on both ends of he spectrum that love him, and hate him. I just thank him for what he did. Let the man rest in peace.
