Idk. I personally can't stand heavy metal or whatever the hell it is because i can't stop worrying about singer's vocal chord. I do know that if they use correct shouting method.. but still..

Not all metal is screamo. That's a sub genre of its own. Look up some songs by Disturbed if you'd like non-screamo metal.
