Because he mentioned streaming "this summer", so it is very likely that he's still in school (not an adult) if summer is mentioned like that, as an opportunity to play more/start streaming.

The job security is abysmal and completely dependent on monthly subscriptions, donations, and the popularity of the games they play. The success stories for "adults" long term are few and far between. A good "job" for a few exceptionally talented or entertaining people who can draw an audience, just like any other entertainer. A long term career option for almost nobody.
