I don't know if they're intentional or not, but one of the absolute cheapest mechanics in this game is all the crap that just disappears when you die.
Lightning Grenades and Tripmines that are airborne
Fusion Rifle Bolts
Axion Bolt Seekers
Firebolt's Burn
I'm sure there are more too and it's complete garbage. If I damage 2 enemies trying to cap and get an Axion Bolt thrown before they kill me, my grenade should land and have a chance to kill. Instead it just disappears and they cap and move on.
Fusion Rifles.
I'm happy that they're finally in a better place after being drug through the gutter for about 8 months, but I'm sorry, the bolts de-spawning on death has been the #1 issue with them since launch. I would love to know how anyone can play test this game, use a Fusion Rifle and not know they're getting screwed out of 1-2 kills a match because shotguns kill instantly and Fusion Bolts go away.
You want balanced numbers? Well you're never going to have them across special weapons because snipers are still effective at any range and shotguns are too close to the effective range of Fusions.
The only other fix would be to increase Fusion Range and you're not going to do that, so fix the bolt despawn and at least let us trade kills.

1 RespuestaCan confirm, everything you typed is truth. My bad last time. Bump.
-
Bump. If I took the time to charge my fusion shot, the discharge should be a full one...
-
Finally! Somebody else noticed the rediculous despawn of fusion bolts! This needs to happen if fusions are to be truly competitive with shotguns and snipers. I mean they're ok but nothing to marvel over.
-
I agree
-
1 RespuestaI'd just like my Axion Bolts to do more than 2 damage when it hits them...
-
Bump, you deserve it sols.
-
BUMP BUMP BUMP!

1 RespuestaI would almost buy the argument that as a Warlock, since your grenade tracking etc are extensions of your mental powers, not mechanical devices like a hunter's tripmine when you die, they die too any rate, yeah, its annoying as heck this is why my Sunsinger uses Solar grenades, not firebolts even if I die I know they'll hang around and annoy people -also, you wouldn't believe how many people don't watch where they're going after doing their little victory dance/teabag
-
Turbo bump! It even effects incendiary grenades sometimes. I have seen them detonate directly underneath someone postmortem and they take maybe 4 damage and sometimes don't burn either. Axion bolts just vanish or do nearly no damage at all. it seems like anything that has travel/fuse time is effected. I would also appreciate a fix to this if not in destiny then hopefully the next installment.

Editado por Pro: 5/26/2016 1:11:33 AMBump. I assume it's unintentional.
-
bump You know what else we want to see in Destiny 2?
OMM for endgame activities.
I'm so glad you posted this. Also a fusion grenade turns into a weak solar grenade. I hope they see this.

2 RespuestasIf you, as a Sunsinger die before your Firebolt grenade lands, it doesn't disappear, but instead it explodes dealing around 3/4 damage. Idk why this is but grenades have a tendency of not functioning correctly if you die while they are airborne. Also, I think it's a good idea to include skip grenades as they need a little bit of fine tuning. Although it rarely happens, sometimes the grenades will all hit a target but the target won't take any damage. I have no idea what cause this to happen and it's happened to me about 3 times so it's pretty rare.

4 RespuestasI've had this issue affect me both ways. Sometimes my axion bolts despawn, sometimes I'll get a hit after death. No idea why.

1 Respuestasunsinger would be crazy op. you could get shot at turn around throw your firebolt, shoot once. you'd die from the bullets and he'd die from the stupid ass burn.

Editado por TRDoug: 5/26/2016 8:18:12 PMNever understood why the live grenade that's left my hand disappears AFTER I'm dead.......IT'S A LIVE GRENADE! Same with orbs and ammo.......I don't think a magic ball of swirling space light should simply vanish if I die.....for arguments sake I'm not really dead either....just in suspended animation until my ghost musters the energy to revive me.....am I right? Darkness zones excluded of course but regular play or crucible shouldn't de spawn anything.....are Bungies servers THAT WEAK that they can't store a location of an item when we die? Engrams hang around.....why doesn't anything else. Also........with heavy ammo now only dropping once per crucible match.....if I kill someone who has heavy ammo DROP A PURPLE BRICK!!!!

10 RespuestasHow about while we're at it lets make it so the titan bubble stays after the wielder dies? There's really no reason not to, it's been placed and has a set time limit anyway. What good is it for support if it's gone as soon as I die?
-
5 RespuestasYou're complaining about shotguns lmao? They are terrible... They wiff half the time and don't even kill anyone point blank. Did you even play year 1 where you literally could snipe people with them lmao. That's what made it balanced with snipers you could actually push with them and primaries killed faster.
-
1 RespuestaI want them to either make everything despawn or nothing. None of this half-assed "Haha your bubble is gone but that guy's massive amounts of fire isn't" or "hey, so that guy just shotgunned you and your fusion rifle shot disappeared? Enjoy getting tethered by a guy you just shot"
-
This is most likely a lag issue. Server has decided you're already dead, but your client hasn't received that info yet and starts, fusion rifle, grenade animation. Your client then receives the death notification form the server and rejects you actions realizing that you were already dead. This may have nothing to do with your internet connection, it's just a likely that it's your opponents.

4 RespuestasEditado por Benzene21: 5/26/2016 8:40:35 AMaxion bolts don't disappear. I've had postmortem medals with those grenades. I have died from firebolt's burn even after killing the warlock. fusion rifles are a problem. I agree. drives me crazy every time it happens. oh and I disagree with fusion range. it is fine. shotgun range is NOT close to fusion range at all. you can easily kill a shotgun user with a fusion when they are not close.
-
5 RespuestasI agree. It's most notable with the warlock subclasses. If you throw a firebolt and are sniped AFTER the grenade is thrown but BEFORE it hits the ground it won't do damage to your opponents. It is the same with axion bolts. Similar bullshit happens when trying to throw a grenade OVER a FOH aftermath and it detonates in mid air. I've also had many lightning grenades that feel like they just disappeared for no real reason.

2 RespuestasEditado por Killlerschaf: 5/26/2016 5:49:03 AMJust wondering, Fusions don't shoot all of their bolts at the same time, do they? They start somewhere and then with a very small delay between each bolt, end up firing 7/8 shots. Or do they function like shotgun pellets? If it's the first, you basically cannot prevent this with Fusion Rifles in their current form.
