First off: did destiny mass a 9.7 million playerbase BEFORE launch?
Nope.
Overwatch's open beta did that in 7 DAYS.

*In the Distance* Hey Dipshit! Playerbase does not equal quality
-
I think it deserves that player base. Easily the most fun FPS I've played.
-
I asked why you like it, not to compare it to Destiny.

Division had almost that # of players in the beta as well. How well is that turning out so far? That statistic is completely 100% unrelated to how good the game will pan out to be.
-
The amount of time played per individual player was much higher in the overwatch beta, which is a bit of an indicator that people actually like playing it.

Editado por Watcher1905: 5/24/2016 2:14:54 PMA beta is free. On consoles the full game is even rather overpriced. I played the beta, but definitely not buying the game at 60. Imagine quite a few people feel the same, so they don't have that playerbase yet

This is why I'm not getting it, unfortunately. And I really like the game. It satisfies pretty much everything I need when I get the PvP itch. But not for $60. I think it's worth $30, but I'd even pay $40 for it. I have heard (but never confirmed) that Blizzard plans to support the game with free content updates - new heroes, maps, etc. if they release a lot of content and support it really well in that aspect, that maybe might incentivize me to consider the $60.

Amazon Prime. 20% off all game preorders.

It's basically a pc game. But they wanted to make money off console peasants, too. Just be happy you even get to play it.

Does that make it the most played beta
