Bungie probably put those in the armory as "fake" exotics to get people to buy TTK.
Think about it.
Bungie knew a lot of people wouldnt really buy TTK if they didnt have a whole lot of incentive within it. But by placing exotics with pretty overpowered perks in the armory just before TTK dropped, people would see that and think they come in TTK and buy it.
I mean, look at those exotics.
The Helm for Warlock basically makes Blink OP.
Original Perk: Blink cools down faster and blink distance is increased.
Dunemarchers. Yeah, lets make Titans even more speed demons. Combine those with MIDA and Titanskating....
Original perk: Increased sprint speed. Tighter turn radius. Faster speed while crouching and there was one more but i forgot it.
Thagomizers. Too many people would complain about Fist of Panic.
Original Perk: Melee kills recharge fist of Havoc. Fist of Havoc kills recharge melee.
Recharge is bolded because, since we never got the Thags to test out, we dont really know what they meant by that. And according to others, they changed Thags perk. Meaning, that the original description would mean exactly what you think.
Killing someone with your melee ability would instantly give you FoH. Killing someone with FoH would instantly give you your melee ability back. Creating a never ending FoH fest.
Then when TTK released, Bungie's like "We got our money, sorry guys, these arent even real exotics."

Yup that is right. Just a tad bit of false advertisement. Besides look at them. No damn way will we see items like that in year two. We can not have exotics that make guardians powerful. That is the new rules.

more like lures, another carrot on the stick, then taking the carrot away.

They are cut contents, they can't fake exotics
