Nope can't think of anything as out of the 20+ enemies in this game pre-ttk that maybe 2 or 3 of them the Arc burn on Fatebringer gave any kind of advantage.
-
Aww. Ok. Well, maybe you you'll find out someday. Just keep thinking.

So since you clearly you the real reason then enlighten the destiny community with you infinite wisdom

Second, are you sure you can't figure out why destiny removed elemental primaries? Give up?
Lets start off with this. Tell me, how many different primaries would you see people using in year 1 on let's say an arc nightfall? Well, I don't know about you, but I saw about 95% of the community using either Fatebringer, or fang of ir Yut. Now, on an arc nightfall NOW, how many different primaries do you see being used? Ok. Now with a little help, can you see why bungie took out elemental primaries?
Oh geeze I've forgotten about those other 3 arc burn weapons. Wow. You're right, when something like an arc or void burn nightfall comes along, you have about 5 elemental primaries to choose from! That's way more variety then something like 50 different primaries you can use. Obviously there was a bigger variety of weapons to choose from back then.

Editado por sm1240: 5/21/2016 8:03:25 AMIf you actually read then thats 12 plus guns the 3 raid one and 4 ToO guns and 4 Poe guns and and the 50 or so guns in vanilla Destiny if you didn't like any of those. Really because instead of changing my primary for the situation, we now chose the same weapon for every situation. So to fix the problem of using a different weapon for different burns I just take my single strongest gun and use it for every situation. Hell I bet many players use less weapons now than they did back then. Also I love how elemental primary haters think the only reason people used Fatebringer was it's arc burn and not the fantastic perk combination and the great stats. If you
-
I switch my weapon all the time, as do many of many other people I know. I get to use exotics like bad juju that I always loved in nightfalls without sucking compared to my friends who used guns like Fatebringer. Try switching up your weapons, it's fun.
-
So do care about having using what you want or what your friends care about. And you could have used Bad Juju in year if you wanted too, hell I used Bad Juju back before the first exotic buff. YOU chose to just use Fatebringer or Fang. And I switched weapons all the time in year 1 I would do weeklies with friends with the universal remote till we got to the boss, I played with the Atheon's Epilogue in a void burn nightfall to see if the burn was enough to compensate for the auto rifle nerf, answer was no. Of course you friend did more damage in an Arc Burn Nightfall with a Arc weapon than you did with a non arc one. He was using the right tool and you were not. It's like using and flat head screwdriver on a philip head screw it can work but using a Philip head will be a lot easier. Also outside of an arc burn nightfall or against captains or knights Fatebringer's Arc element means nothing. It's the equivalent of a regular lead pencil versus a mechanical on the both will write fine and get the job done. Then you start to look at the perks with fatebringer had better ones than any other legendary HC at the time.
-
You're right, people could've chosen to use their favorite weapon that isn't a raid weapon in burn nightfalls, but there's a reason why they didn't. Think of it like this. There's a fire team of three doing an arc burn nightfall. 2 of the 3 are using Fatebringer, the other is using their favorite weapon bad juju. The guys using fate bringer are mowing down enemies and clearing out enemies as usual, and the the player using bad juju is having a hard time keeping up with them. In other words, he sucks compared to the others using Fatebringer. Because he doesn't want to suck, he pulls out his arc burn weapon so he could keep up with his friends. NOW, people can use any weapon, without feeling like they suck compared to anyone using a burn weapon.
-
Again a person shouldn't be punished for using the right tool. You know that there is a better tool so you can't be mad about choosing the least effective tool and then having less successful results. Also even if two others had the right burn weapons there is no way that they would kill everything before a person without the right burn would. Also not every nightfall had a burn in yr1 just like not every night fall in yr2 had a burn, remember the exposure and trickle on two weeks ago. In that on a burn would do little extra help. If you were a teacher and gave an assignment and they allowed to use any means of research and 2 students both did an A quality paper and one used just the library and the other used just the internet would you punish the internet student for using the easier method?
-
I understand what you mean. But you see, what bungie did, is that they made it so that there is no "right tool" anymore. Or in another sense, you can say that they made it so that every weapon is the "right tool". So now, instead of everyone using the same/similar "tool", people can now use whatever "tool" they want and it can be the "right tool".
-
Yes they made people use different weapons but forcing that change rather than giving a reason to switch is not a good way about going about it. Destiny is not in a position where they can afford to take things out, as evident as the 6 or 7 month content drought we are currently in. If they wanted to stop the old raid weapon dominance the have it that the raid or trials weapons had a elements but when the weapon is dismantled it drops a one time item that can be used on any other legendary weapon and that weapon gains the element. People can use any weapon they want and if they want to make it stronger than they play more content get more gear and make weapons to their taste. They should always add to the game, never take away from it.
-
Honestly, I agree with you about only adding to the game and not taking away from it. But despite what bungie should or shouldn't have done, they had a valid reason for taking away elementals.
-
But it's not a valid reason this is a loot-based RPG. All RPGs have weapons that are the strongest and all loot-based games have a large variety of different weapons that have something special about them. This is a Loot-based RPG with no powerful weapons and no large arsenal. That power is what drew people to get those weapon Fatebringer had Firefly and Outlaw a combination that a the time was unobtainable, Word of Crota had Triple Tap again a perk that was unique to it at the time. When HoW came around that's when the guns became more about the elements than the perks, with shank burn and dreg burn but at least the random burn allowed for the ability to complete the element sets. What is special about the raid handcannon now. And the issue with Ghorn bungie seems so afraid of making another one of it that many on the new exotics feel rather lackluster. We are in a game were we have a forest and water on Venus and can walk around on mercury go balls out with weapons rather then hold back. People didn't complain about getting the Ultima Weapon in FF7, using the Power armor in Fallout, or The Bee in Borderlands 2
-
All I'm saying, is that there is definitely a reason for why elementals were taken away. And I guess exotics are supposed to be the more powerful weapons. Argue with bungie, not me.
-
Yeah you're right your not the one that got rid of them. How about we agree to disagree as it seems that neither of us are budging?
-
Sounds good to me.
