The fact that a lot of the elitist year two KF Raiders wouldn't have the foggiest idea how to beat the Godfather Atheon makes me not want to complete hard mode especially with the likes of them!
I've gotten to Oryx multiple times with rando's and challenge moded the other bosses, just can't seem to beat Oryx, guess I need to work on gitting gud I suppose.

It's mostly the way kings fall is built up compared to the other raids. If somebody messed up in Vog or Crota, you could recover from it if those close to him manage to kill oracles or somebody went through the portal to help for example. In kings fall... well.. Let's see. The runner needs to keep shooting oryx. You have four people who need to go detonate bombs. That leaves you one person who can jump in if they see somebody is not going to detonate one. and that's if you haven't an orb that went astray and therefore needs their attention... that's basically where things go wrong for us: one person doesn;'t detonate properly, one or two guys try to go and recover that, die in the process, and Oryx goes to the front, smiles.. and cast a shade while only four of us are still alive... one more round, no ogre control... and of course in the 4 the guy who is not yet confident at detonating orbs (and who is not getting there either before he SEES he did it wrong again...)

Well Atheon and Crota are way easier than Oryx. They are more fun but also easier. You can solo both Atheon and Crota raid and while it is possible to solo Oryx himself you do need more people to get to him. There is no way to solo the totems , no way to solo the warpriest , no way to solo Golgi and no way to solo the sisters.

I take it you never ran Atheon with four 29s and two 28s then? That shit right there was tough, drop your light level to ~160 and see how you get on with VoG hard mode.

Sure it was tough and i loved it , but no matter how good you are you cant solo or 3 man the raid mechanics in the oryx raid.

You must play with the unseasoned elites. Me and my friends still do old raids from time to time just for the hell of it XD

In all honesty I don't find Kings fall fun any longer, it's basically 4 of the same bosses and pointless adds that are there to fill space, I'm in no rush to complete it is what I'm saying, but more power to people that do.
