How could you know what people do or don't want to use? Year 2 weapons bring quite a bit of options to the table, and even though they don't have elements, they're just as viable as any other gun. The only time that this is not the case is when the modifier grants more enemies shields.

Well what I see now is just Hung Jury, 1000 yard/Defiance of Yasmin or LDR/Longbow since the update and quillims Terminus

They should be. Those weapons weren't used because they were elementals they were used because they were amazing. VoG Pulse and Hand Cannon are literally some of the best legendary weapons you could get

But they were used specifically because they were elemental, they just happened to have amazing perks as well. If it wasn't the case, people wouldn't be asking for elemental primaries, they'd be asking for a kinectic version of the Fatebringer, VoC, etc... The next best option people have are the strike-specific weapons.

You know nothing of this game. You seriously think people would use a weapon just for the elemental status ? The whole reason Fatebringer was popular because it had a godlike perks. By that logic Necrochadm must have been wildly popular because it had Arc damage.

Fact of the matter is, Godlike rolls such as the ones found on Fatebringer, VoC and Edict exist. If elemental primaries weren't the thing people wanted, threads like these would not exist, because rolls like the aforementioned, exist.

1 I'm not a ser I'm not a knight and have no ties to Knights and 2 I love how you avoided the Necrochasm. I'm willing to bet no one would use elemental weapon if they were year 1 Necrochasm tier. They obviously want their good elemental weapons back

They obviously want their good elemental weapons back[/quote] I did not mention the Necrochasm because it's generally agreed that it's a bad weapon, despite having a moderate-tier Exotic Perk. It just doesn't dish out much damage seeing that it's a high-RoF weapon. Even with its perks, it just gets outclassed by another weapon of its archetype.
