Depending on how well it does, you may want to add No Mans Sky in that list. Great potential in that game, the question is, will the potential hold to be true?

I'm not sure about No Mans Sky yet. If exploring is all you basically do then id be bored of it after a few hours

Apparently there's a lot more that you can be, I know there's building, but I really do hope that friends are able to play with you. Seems dumb that a friend just can't jump in and play.

Ok well that is a bit different than an arena shooter like Overwatch. Doom could be, maybe, but it is way more likely that something like U4, Final Fantasy, Dark Souls, or other games would get GOTY. Borderlands was a more of a story game than a shooter, I think.

Because shooters are nothing more than shooters. Games like Borderlands that are more like story games rather than shooters are a different story. Overwatch is an arena shooter, that is all.

I mean shooters with campaigns. It's not fair to lump them all into the same category as an online only multiplayer game that is half a product.

I think they have won a few times. Technically Uncharted is a shooter also... But i know what you mean.

Uncharted is an adventure game. Not a shooter. I agree that Doom or Overwatch should win best shooter of the year but not GOTY as Dishonored 2, FFXV, Uncharted 4, and much better games than some shooters are coming out this year.
