Destiny is by far the best feeling FPS I've ever played.
My brother wanted me to play some battlefield 4 with him last week, so I hopped on.
Later we played Hardline.
Last night I played Black Ops 3 again. Uggghhhh..
Those games just don't feel as good as destiny.
For all the short comings you can say Destiny has, you have to admit the gun play in Destiny is fantastic

I can agree that the PVE aspect of Destiny is smoother in its play mechanics than a plethora of games. I wouldn't compare it to Patrick Bachs "Dice" BF though. Blops is ok to compare sure. As far as the PVP mechanics, you can't ghetto rig shoulder floaties in 2014 and on with duct tape and not expect the game to simply drown under the weight of its own dependence on an entire game mode. If they had "CUSTOM MATCHES", "COMPLETE DEDICATED PVP SERVERS", and fully supported their own community by fully supporting the whole game then they wouldn't have lost the community support. Respectable post. ***fistbump

Destiny is the most expensive kick starter EVER!!

7 Respuestas
Destiny is the best ______
..best way to waste your time and money. You know what else has a "good feeling" because of game mechanics? Tetris. Solitaire. Game mechanics don't mean shit when the game has 0 replay value... My mistake I meant to say pos boring chore has 0 replay value.

19 RespuestasDestiny doesn't even make it into the top ten list of best FPS. Gunplay was good in y1, y2 has chipped away enough to ruin that. I've had far more fun in the DOOM campaign than I ever did in destiny. Won't say DOOM's multiplayer is ground breaking but it's still better than the crucible. Best part about DOOM is that I'm not dependent on other players just to play the game. Destiny is the standard that other developers should use as a "how not to" guide.

4 RespuestasIt's better then the games you mentioned. But considering it's gameplay is linked to a slot machine and it exists solely to sell me paywall locked DLC I can't really rank it very high on my list. I'm looking forward to No Man's Sky.

Definitely the Cadillac of FPS

Destiny can't even make it in a top five list of FPS though lol. Seriously speaking, with all the nerfs and Bungie not separating PvE from Pvp, how can it be to the top?? Furthermore, battlefield is an intermidiate game with real world mechanics. Its incredible. What you are looking to say is that you love using Supers and exotic weapons. If destiny is your favourite fps, you have no idea what this game is lacking. Its an ok game.

Destiny's only redeeming quality is that the gunplay in-game was good. But it's 2016. You can't ride on the coat tails of good shooting mechanics for 22 months and call yourself a respectable studio. You're sell outs. The game doesn't even have an in-game codex...there is literally no meat to this game. There is more meat in the first 3 levels of SP Doom than there is in the entirety of Destiny (let that sink in)... Player expectations versus Bungie results equals disappointment for millions of players. Many of whom I'd argue will likely never buy another Bungie product ever again, like myself.

.... Shooter I have played in a long time, until they decided to nerf everything.

As much as I love to hate Destiny, I will say I really enjoy the end of match reward system. The system can suck but you know at least you get something. With other games all you get at the end of a game is filling up you rank up bar and some points towards want ever.

9 RespuestasThis is such a controversial topic. Because obviously Destiny is by no means "the best" in terms of the FPS genre itself. And actually, this has always been rather annoying. Whenever anyone reviews or talks about this game, you generally get a BUNCH of negatives which are eventually followed with that god damn "But..." as they begin praising the handling, as if that should actually serve as any kind of redeeming aspect. There are two things I want to point out here. 1: WHO CARES if the game "feels good" when everything that you're doing in the game revolves around repetitive activities that are ultimately worthless? Its like how it was with "The Order: 1886" where the game scored a 10/10 in graphics but everything else about it sucked balls. This is not something that anyone should be encouraging, its NOT worthy of praise if the combat "feels good" but everything else is mediocre at best. 2: What exactly is so mind blowing about this? I mean, seriously, can we step back and do some critical thinking on this subject? "Feeling" can basically translate to the combination of movement controls/options, the weapon handling for each archtype and the associated SFX for it all. In this respect, its really not anything all that spectacular. The reason why this is controversial is more so the fact that its going to be more about personal bias than anything else. For example, I could tell you that Halo 5 and Titanfall both blow Destiny out of the water in this respect. And I could even further back that up with supportive arguments as well. Halo 5 - 343 Industries brought new innovation to the table by giving the Spartan Armor a major upgrade. The introduction of "Quick Boost" (A rare concept that was greatly cultivated by the Armored Core franchise) opens up all new possibilities in combat. You likewise have the addition of the "Shoulder Charge" and "Ground Pound" which can be linked into it for more diverse encounters and strategies. And leave us not forget the ability to hijack enemy vehicles and aircraft. Titanfall - Respawn Entertainment really struck gold with this game. A combination of fast paced infantry action with a strong emphasis on wall running and scaling buildings with the introduction of mech warfare where you have literally two distinct gameplay mechanics merged together. And with three different mechs that each play very different from one another on top of it, adding to the variety even more. By simple logical reasoning, both games far outweigh Destiny in the "feeling" department. But you'll still see people around the internet who will argue that its better. THAT is where the bias comes into play. And honestly, it hurts Destiny more because of it. And I mean let's face it, all Bungie really did was just polish the mechanics that they had created for Halo with the addition of Supers. Its not exactly hard to screw up something like that. But apparently, they can screw up everything else, though. You do a comparison between this and Halo: Reach and the immediate response from people I've spoken with about it has always been "was this really made by the same guys?" I could sit here and start listing off other games that far exceed Destiny in this area as well as others. Case in point; Fallout 4, Overwatch, DOOM (Which I just beat like 2 hours ago), Borderlands... These are just Console Games too, bare in mind. However, in the end it wouldn't really matter what games myself or anyone else were to toss out because ultimately you're trying to argue against that personal bias which is akin to banging your head against a wall. Meh...
